Poindexter's Pokey Dot Lounge
Under the Covers
I'm relaxing and having my usual Sunday morning cup o Joe while listening to Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs album Under the Covers. They cover some very cool 1960s rock and pop ditties. Their version of Neil Young's Cinnamon Girl totally rocks. Loud guitars and groovy harmonizing vocals.
I decided to get "caught up" on watching some recent horror releases and rented/watched Bell Witch: The Movie, the new remake of the 1960s splatter romp The Wizard of Gore, and Greg McLean's Rogue this weekend. The best of the lot is definitely Roge. Beautiful cinematography, strong acting, and some very tense moments as a giant gator wants to make a group of tourists his next meal. The soundtrack for Bell Witch is excellent featuring loads of toe-tappin' and haunting bluegrass tunes.
I have a bunch of upcoming titles to review for ya'll. Coming up next from Aypor Studios is Frisbee starring the Bel Ami guys, the latest from Brian Brennan/Latino Fan Club Criminal Behavior, Copperhead Canyon from TitanMen and Director Joe Gage, and from Thugporn/Jalin Fuentes Holla Back Boi.
I'm now on my second cup of coffee and listening to Foxboro Hot Tubs.
