Elegant Angel is currently one of the most consistent porn production companies around, winning accolades far and wide last year including our own heralded Xcritic Studio of the Year 2008. A lot of the credit for this state of affairs is due to director William H. Nutsack for the manner in which he provides some of the hottest women in the hottest situations, using plenty of tease along the way. Frankly, his works are so well regarded by our body of writers that his rare mediocre efforts are met with questions for the reviewer more than the director himself. His latest title making it my way is Performers of the Year 2009: Special Collector's Edition, the sequel to the resounding Performers of the Year 2008 that helped secure the award last year as an Xcritic Pick, a wonderful cast of ladies and top tier studs working them with all the tease footage one might expect from the company. The dual disc offering included a wealth of appreciated extras and more quality fuck for the buck sex than two regular releases in the genre. Going into this one, I had very high hopes it would live up to the potential of the cast & crew, little doubt in my mind that the bar was about to be raised yet again. This was another major winner! The amounts of fuck for the buck, strokability, replay value, and especially casting left no other choice in my mind that it merited a full Xcritic Pick. There were minor issues of one sort or another but in overall terms, this was the kind of dual disc movie that you rarely find at the competition these days, most either going for the short sell or trying to overwhelm with quantity but not the quality truly observant people expect.

Sneak Peeks: Cock Tease 2, Bad Girls, and Shay Jordan: Leather and Lace

Digital Playground was once known primarily as a couples-friendly porn company, producing porn that catered to those that did not watch a lot of porn. This continued until they decided to get real and hire director Robby D., the talented up-and-comer making waves at rival Vivid.

Needless to say, there was a period of time where both parties got used to each other but it did not take too long before he started expanding their limits to the point where they could compete on many levels, offering some hard gonzo that detractors would never have believed possible up to that point. Nowadays, they offer titles like Bad Girls, their upcoming star-studded offering featuring lovely Stoya and two former contract gals, a touch of exotic women as well. The five scenes lasted longer than average and the relative lack of quality extras aside, it struck me as a winner many of you will want to pick up at the end of the month when it is released. It ended on such a high note with Stoya giving a magnificent effort that it readily earned a rating of Recommended. The strokability, replay value, and amount of fuck for the buck should suit fans of the cast as much as the technical values will enhance the look for those with a decent set up. In short, Bad Girls really did not have a central theme but the collection of scenes showed a variety of ladies many of you will adore. Stoya was by far the best performer of the bunch, showing all those that voted for her in numerous award shows that she earned their faith, clearly better than runner up types with more vocal followings.

Robby D. is the most prolific director at Digital Playground. His works have been praised all over the world and for good reason, he has an eye for the technical aspects that surpasses most of

his peers, at least in part due to his training in the field and experience. My own observations have led me to believe he has "the eye" for quality talent too, though he and I argue at times about specific performers that he adores beyond their looks or performance abilities. In conjunction with last month's release of Cock Tease 1, I was surprised to find Cock Tease 2 show up on my doorstep the other day, having seen several of the director's series languish for a year or more between volumes. The theme of the series is simple in that Robby provides six women in scenes where the ladies do not engage in sexual misconduct with other men or other women, rarely masturbating for that matter as they tease like crazy for the duration of the nearly three and a half hour movie. Given the casting and strokability, the replay value was enough to merit a rating of Recommended. Just to see Rachel after all these years was cool enough that I gave it some extra juice but frankly, there was definitely a lot to like about the show and I wish the company had not sat on the footage for so long. In short, Cock Tease 2 provided some heated solo masturbation scenes by a variety of gals, thematically linked by repeated appearances of Yurizan in shorter but fulfilling vignettes that I found quite appealing.

Digital Playground is one of the dominant companies in porn these days, their knack for winning awards as accepted as their leadership in the high definition field. One of their most

curious facets is the continued use of conceptual director Celeste whose boyfriend shoots most of their flicks for, the trend away from erotic vignettes seen at the company as well as in the industry at large. Well, coming up at the end of the month is a tribute showcase to former contract performer Shay Jordan, the title of the outing called Shay Jordan: Leather and Lace. The movie clocked in at a mere 76 minutes but provided more footage of the lovely young lady than any recent porno in memory. The five scenes included three with Shay and two others you might find appealing, even two bonus short teases, one by Sochee Malo. It was short but had a lot of Shay Jordan material for fans to fully appreciate. I prefer harder porn with better extras, longer running times, and more sex so I rated it as a Rent It but if you like Shay as much as some reviewers do, you will definitely want a piece of the pie this time. In short, Shay Jordan: Leather and Lace was not the best showcase for her skills but it was not a terrible porno if you like the sex light and prefer seeing more of Shay than ever before. Give it a look and you will see what I mean.

Highlights of The Week

Chris Streams is a fine example of a director that showed his game greatly elevated as a result of hooking up with Jules Jordan Video. Not to detract from his previous employers but how often was he allowed to make dual disc sets, select his own cast members, and engage in

direct quality control over all aspects of his releases before owning his own titles? Even a cursory look at his pre and post JJV titles will answer the question for you, a great many reviewers from all major sources seemingly in agreement over the matter. Well, hit latest title is for those of you that like POV titles as much as MILFs in Crazy 4 Cougars: Special Edition. Before I get too far, it seems fitting to point out that the use of the term "cougar" is a misnomer since Chris is not younger than all the ladies, and even then, not that much younger since the term refers to older women prowling on (much) younger men or women, but that fact aside, he has once again assembled a first rate cast that I'd be tapping myself if I had the spare dough. When you see names like Shayla "Gumdrop" LaVeaux, Lisa Ann, and Brittany O'Connell (to name a few), you know you're in store for a treat, the eight (yes, I said 8!) scenes all helmed by the director as he nails them as best he could. I had enough fuck for the buck, strokability, replay value, and quality casting of chemistry filled hotties that I rated it as Highly Recommended. The technical values were a bit less than his best work and the concept of cougars not quite applicable but I appreciate that "Crazy 4 MILFs" might not have as much name recognition value and focused on the positive aspects of a very heated set of eight pairings. No scene let me down and all of the ladies appeared to be in good spirits, the extras package adding some fun too. In short, I found Crazy 4 Cougars: Special Edition to merit more attention than the multitude of like minded titles.

Manuel Ferrarais one of the most popular leading men in porn these days, raising through the ranks to the adoration of women all over the world. His work at Evil Angelhas proven popular too, the director's ability to capture raw energy in scenes with often extremely hot women surpassing that of many of his peers working elsewhere, even if his technical game might not

show any film school training. In the mail the other day came one of his double disc sets shot just before RAWthat I reviewed earlier in my E.A. reviewing spree, the movie rating quite high even though the ladies were not all to my liking. Imagine my take on Evil Anal 8: Special 2 Disc Set given the dedication to better looking babes using better looking technical values. The movie is the sequel to Evil Anal 7though you need not view any of them in order to figure out any plot or theme, the emphasis on anal action driving sales and advertising campaigns well enough. That it featured my new friend Kristina Rose made it all the better but frankly, none of the ladies here was a second tier tramp so combined with the passions of Manuel himself, I expected great things. It had a lot of fuck for the buck and replay value, augmented by the strokability that tends to follow the directors' scenes when he picks top flight women so I rated it as Highly Recommended. The boost from the improved technical values and the length of the dual disc movie helped make it stand out from the pack as did the ladies and their active skills. In short, Evil Anal 8: Special 2 Disc Set was even better than Evil Anal 7in some ways, the extras taking a slight hit to allow for a better picture. If you like seeing women getting off, attractive women at that, you would be hard pressed to find anything released of late where the majority of gals had as much fun getting their anal region torn up so effectively, so check this one out.

In short, Innocent Until Proven Filthy 5: Special Edition, the sequel to Innocent Until Proven Filthy 4 should suffice for fans of hardcore fucking, little circus act sex getting in the way of a good time.

Belladonnais one of the most well regarded ladies in porn, the extreme queen generally allowed to get away with rougher sex than her male counterparts just as her technical

expertise as a director distributed by Evil Angelis shaky at best. Still, whatever project the young woman tackles displays a sense of passion often missing in modern porn, elevating her stature compared to many others in the industry. The latest title of Belladonna's coming to me was Evil Pink 4: Special Extended 2 Disc Set, a lesbian project where the cast went without makeup for the most part and skipped the circus act sex so many of Bella's projects include. Still, the heated pairings often had decent chemistry and that alone made the dual disc title worth checking out, previous volumes in the series among her most sought after. It was a far cry from her usual bouts of pushing the limits of her performers, putting a softer spin on the kind of sexual abandon they showed but reminding me that Belladonna did not participate. That fact weakened it for me somewhat but there was still enough lesbian fuck for the buck and strokability to merit a rating of Recommended even if there was no "evil" in the titular showcase. In short, Evil Pink 4: Special Extended 2 Disc Set had a wealth of extras to help make up for the deficient technical values, the quantity of the warmish action the ladies engaged in enough to suit me just fine.

This was one of his best releases in recent times, the amount of fuck for the buck more dependent on the enthusiasm and energy of the ladies and their chemistry with the guy than anything else. The replayability and stroke value were exceptionally high and the movie clocked in at almost 5 hours long, earning a rating of Highly Recommended from me a lot easier than I thought it would (even with the background information I was given). In short, RAW: Special 2 Disc Set had the lusty hero turned director nailing all sorts of ladies in all of their holes, each of them showing a unique bond with the guy as he catered to their needs as much as they did likewise for his, making it a lot of fun to watch.

John Lesliewas one of the original performer-turned-directors in porn, setting the stage for the multitude of others that came later. While many that followed in his proverbial footsteps were not as talented, it still pays us to remember the roots of how things evolved over time. Well, a

few companies such as Evil Angelwere also trendsetters in how such directors have been distributed, foregoing ownership in favor of a smaller cut but less risk, allowing the directors to make the kind of porn they thought would sell. This model was so successful, it was emulated by others such as JJV and now, most of the better gonzo directors are under this type of plan. With that, is there any doubt that John's latest release of Crack Her Jack 10: Open The Fuck Box, the sequel to Crack Her Jack 9, was the product of his own fertile imagination rather than a corporately made and owned formula? Using a bunch of hotties like Jenna Haze, Lexi Love, and Jayden James, the director crafts another strokable set of four longer scenes, each of them with their own merits. This might not have been the most consistently heated set of scenes in the popular series, it certainly had a fine cast of ladies that had significantly strokable amounts of fun so I rated it as Recommended. The lack of technical polishing up and how some of the gals did not live up to their full potential weakened the effort overall but even then it showed the difference between a John Leslie fuck flick and so many of his peers. In short, Crack Her Jack 10: Open The Fuck Box was better than Crack Her Jack 9 on several levels so fans of the directors works should be very happy that he is improving the franchise yet again.

Jake Maloneis one of the last pioneers in hardcore fetish gonzo action these days, many of his male peers frightened by the results of the Max Hardcore case. As a rule, I only enjoy watching women being abused if they like it, and even then only in small doses, so Jake has long represented something of an enigma to my porn-loving sensibilities, particularly since he

signed on with Evil Angel. While most of his work has been released on double disc sets at the company, he also makes some of the better single disc releases, including one I just received called Fetish Fuck Dolls . I know that some of you hate losing out on the fantasy aspects by watching the BTS features and others that hate Jake don't care that the women are playing out their own fantasies in his works but having discussed the director with some of the ladies that repeatedly work for him, it is clear that outside of his role playing in the movies, he is really a softy that adores women (maybe even a bit too much). The five scenes here all include choking, slapping, hard pounding penetration of mouths, pussies, and even asses in some cases, so if you aren't ready to appreciate the fantasy of the action, skip this in favor of something you can handle as stroke material. It will not be for everyone but if you enjoy hardcore sexual antics involving women being dominated and abused but if you do, you will find this one well worth a rating of Recommended or better. The strokability and replay value will hinge on your tolerance levels for the genre more than anything else but it was what was advertised and even without a second disc, it had some very heated moments. In short, Fetish Fuck Dolls was the kind of movie one would expect from Jake and his twisted mind, more than a little deviance but falling short of going too far past what the ladies would have allowed him to do had they not been willing participants. Give this one a look when you are bored with the often generic porn on the market.

Evil Angel is the home for many well known gonzo directors, not least of which is the infamous Jonni Darkko. Jonni is like a DJ caught up in his own perversions and given a voice by means of his videocamera to spread the word of ladies with spread legs. All kidding aside, his visual acuity and artistic way of looking at things are unlike many of the more couples oriented directors out there since he almost always delivers the goods, his latest fuck flick sent to me

more of a suck flick in the form of Sloppy Head . I like a good blowjob as much as anyone else but watching them is rarely rewarding for me, the stroke value always lower than a good penetration movie but Jonni has a way of coaxing good scenes out of even the most elusive gals, especially when he gets them to let loose as he did here. I was asked to minimize my comments (something of a gentleman's bet) this time so rather than address the minimal differences of the twelve blowjobs done in POV (point of view) fashion, suffice it to say that even the worst one was pretty good. It provided a tremendous wealth of suck for your buck scenes that any fan of said action will love. The strokability of the ladies performances were rarely diminished by bad attitude or lack of skill, some of them (Francesca, Aurora, Julie, and Jandi) offering superb hummers that surpass the usual knob slobbing skills one might expect of the run of the mill porners. Truth be told, the replay value for me was not as high as some of Jonni's other titles in the past year but even I would be lying to you if I said this collection of all new blowjobs did not merit a rating of Recommended or better, the emphasis on saliva covered cock sucking with passion and enthusiasm really driving the scenes home in most cases. In short then, Sloppy Head did show a lot of sloppy action by talented vixens without the penetration most porn is full of, some titty fucking and handjob action adding to the fun here in the point of view scenes where there were no losers, except the men losing loads of genetic juice to the faces and mouths of willing participants that enjoy swallowing and playing with population pudding.

Jay Sin may not be a household name in porn circles but here at Xcritic, his movies are among the most sought after when Evil Angelsends us some screeners to review. A quick look at his past titles will show that regardless of who reviews his works, he tends to receive very

favorable ratings, his dedication to raw energy and technical excellence the kind most people expect from the distribution superstar. Jay's latest release is the low awaited Deep Anal Abyss 2: Special 2 Disc Set, the first volume never reviewed here but considered a near classic when it came out awhile back. For anal aficionados, the cast will be quite familiar and even a few mediocre gals tossed in as last minute replacements (at least that is how they came across), did not hurt the appeal of the double disc set. It was a solid set of circus act sex scenes that the director's fans will appreciate. The replay value, strokability, and kinky appeal will certainly vary depending on what kind of action you like but even I found it well worth a rating of at least a Recommended given all the extras and footage so accurately advertised. The Blu-ray version had a decidedly better visual appeal in most cases too so if you have the right equipment, it was well worth considering too though the lack of the 66:41 minutes of Outtakes on the high definition version as well as the outdated codec and 1080i resolution were pitfalls too. In all, no matter which version of Deep Anal Abyss 2: Special 2 Disc Set you are in the market for, it had a tremendous amount of anal fuck for the buck so check it out and act accordingly.

Mike Johnis nothing short of a legend in the gonzo POV community due to the manner in which he had long captured some of the very best action on camera but even his regular gonzo has

proven to be popular as the guy finds some of the sluttiest whores to work a meat pipe (or twelve) over the years. Now that he is distributed by Jules Jordan Video, he pretty much has his say about all sorts of aspects of his movies that were otherwise controlled by others when he started out. Well, his latest title to make it to me was something of a showcase for two gals as well as a veritable contest of wills to see who could out slut the other, the title called Insatiable Voyage. The situation here was a light feature of sorts where both gals got the chance to have all sorts of depraved sexual activity that was heavy on oral and anal, culminating in some interracial gangbangs that prove each of them has some spark left to work with. It was not his most subtle work and I would have preferred the consistency of a single performer showcase but each gal acquitted herself strongly enough for me to declare the dual disc set as Recommended. Bobbi's youthful zeal was the preferred path to take but Dana gave a splendid performance too, the technical values and extras enough to support the rating. In short, Insatiable Voyage may not appeal to a lot of people as it was so strongly based on circus act sex and two specific performers but the action outlined on the DVD cover was what it had to offer so give it a look.

The Mooninite came up with three vintage winners this week such as a newly remastered version of Maraschino Cherry: The film, which is fairly light in terms of plot compared to many of Metzger's other pictures, follows a New York City high society madame named Maraschino Cherry (Gloria Leonard) whose sister, Penny (Jenny Baxter), comes to visit her. The two discuss Maraschino's business and clientele, which leads into a series of sexual vignettes - and that's

about it. Don't expect the rich, layered storyline of something like The Opening Of Misty Beethoven, as Metzger's hardcore swan song (he'd go back to making softcore films after this picture before retiring in 1984) is much lighter in that regard. That said, if the film is short on storyline, it makes up for it with some genuinely inspired scenes that are legitimately erotic. Video-X-Pix's Platinum Elite Collection release of Metzger's Maraschino Cherrymay not be perfect but it's certainly the closest we've seen for this title so far. The restored transfer is quite nice and the supplements are much stronger than average as well; Deep Inside Annie Sprinkle: Video-X-Pix's presentation of Deep Inside Annie Sprinkle won't wow you but the movie had damn sure better. Anyone who tells you classic porn isn't sexy hasn't sat down with this one yet, as it really is a scorcher, a classic smut movie in the truest sense of the word. Despite the minor cuts and the mediocre DVD, this one comes recommended based on the strength of the movie alone. Let's hope the promised two-discer improves on the shortcomings; and Inside Little Oral Annie: This Kenneth Morse directorial effort from 1984 is, if the hyperbole on the packaging is to be believed, Video-X-Pix's best selling title of all time. While Little Oral Annie, born Andrea Parducci, may not be the household name of seventies smut that Linda Lovelace is, her sword swallowing skills are beyond reproach, and her nickname well earned. A lithe and well endowed brunette with an admirable physique and a pretty face, Annie says it best herself when the film begins - "I love sucking dick!" Judging by the enthusiasm she shows in this film, she wasn't lying.

Apache Warrior found two titles worth checking out such as Faithless: In her first adult outing, Kelli McCarty plays Callie White who is married to Danny played by Steven St. Croix. Daisy Marie's character Sarah is her stepdaughter. Callie begins to infatuate over Voodoo's character Nico who also happens to be her stepdaughter's boyfriend. What is an unfulfilled and sexually

neglected woman to do? Of course, any porn lover knows the answer. Nevertheless, Faithless is a movie that shows us that if lust takes over, then there is a price to pay. There is no doubt that Kelli McCarty will have her critics, but, this influential one says that she has a winner on her hands. Under the directorial guidance by the masterful Paul Thomas along with a script by Duane, Kelli has hit the adult industry with a lightning force. The screenplay gives Ms. McCarty several opportunities to show off her very talented acting skills to amazing use. Her effortless acting range is unbeatable and convincing; and Lesbian Triangles Episode 12: the twelfth installment of this series. It is from the highly successful studio Girlfriends Films that primarily concentrates on lesbian themes. One quality that this studio focuses on is to make realistic sex scenes. Several themes that separate this series from most of the studio's other ones in its stable are the deceit, cheating, and intrigue elements of the story lines. Lesbian Triangles Episode 12 is a good match for this series. It definitely captures the romance, deceit, and cheating aspects to the studio's characterization of what this series is all about. The pairings of the women are set-up very well. Each one has a certain chemistry that enhances the scene. I look forward to seeing the next episode in this series. I would like to know if Lisa Neils' character finds out that her friend made love to her mother.

Addicted 5 is a relatively recent release from New Sensations, and it was one of their more

prolific non-compilation DVDs from the latter part of 2008. The five scenes here all have something going for them, and that's to be expected with the likes of Jenna Haze, Ashlynn Brooke, Madison Ivy, Audrey Bitoni, and Jana Jordan making appearances. The sex here overall is very good with some of these starlets putting on quite a show. Unfortunately it's not as solid all around, there are some dry bits, the artistic nature isn't as subtle as it could have been, and Audrey has some nasty scarring going on. All of those flaws aside, if you're looking for some quality sex this is a release to consider. Take the good with the bad and you'll be pleased well enough. If you're a fan of solid sex and you don't mind some artsy stuff being mixed into your porn, then the Addicted franchise has a lot to offer. Its latest release brings some of the top performers in the business together for some nice action that doesn't necessarily push the boundaries of porn, but it's entertaining just the same. At the end of the day I'd say this release should be considered recommended, but it's not smooth enough all around for a high recommended. Give this one a look and you might find it suits your needs.

Schoolgirl P.O.V. #4 presents us with five fresh faces in full-on point-of-view fucking, preserving

their focus on us via the camera. Unlike most, this series deals exclusively with the exuberance of young girls in uniform, taking care in the peel of that particular outfit with all its necessary accoutrements. This time around, however, the verbal interplay is a necessary part of the equation, the gift of gab being an integral part of the sexual tension and its eventual release. Like the previous entrants into the series, Schoolgirl P.O.V. #4 delivers just what it promises, with the additional catch of keeping the girls at their verbal best in order to heighten the reality of the action moreso than before. With the push into HD, the detail is superior to the format of the scenes, lending a you-are-there style of fucking that many other titles have yet to evolve into. The interplay of each girl playing to the camera bodes well for most (devil-grinned Allyssa and boob-tacular Sadie, who both hit it out of the park), though the less click-worthy are few (Shayne), while the cute-but-still-green Riley and Chastity surely could give any other performer a run for their money with only a bit more practice with their on-camera personas. The overall experience warrants a Recommended status, if only because of the extra verbal jousting that just about every girl here seems to excel at, though the audio could certainly use a bit of sparkle for the next round, fingers crossed!

Robby D. has long tried to keep ahead of the learning curve where new technologies are concerned, spending ample time over the past year becoming intimately familiar with the new "RED" camera technology. While I like advances nearly as much as he does, I also understand that new equipment translates into a learning curve, even a big company like Digital

Playground having to deal with it. That said, the latest release using the technology is Riley Steele Perfect Pet, a series of six scenes with half of them showcasing lovely contract starlet Riley Steele. These three scenes amount to more footage of her than all her previous movies for the company combined, her blond hair, blue eyes, and sleek figure enough to make for an easy sell. The scenes did not appear to have a lot in common this time outside of the ladies acting like kept pets but frankly, fans of Riley should be stroking themselves all the way to their local porn emporium to pick up a copy. The movie showed some of the advances due to the new RED camera technology as well as some of the limitations it imposes on crews used to handling a smaller camera to fluidly capture the action. Riley Steele was a gem this time and redeemed herself in my eyes as a hot little performer with much more potential, already surpassing some of the recently departed contract performers at the company in a few short months. I rated this one as Recommended though fans of Riley should consider it a "must have" for their collections. In short, Riley Steele Perfect Pet was not the very best the company has offered of late but it served to showcase Riley Steele really well, the young lady just beginning to show her performance chops in a manner that will certainly draw attention in the future.
