2009 proved to be a challenging year for adult film directors. With decreasing budgets and increased expectations these men and women were forced to do more with less. Add to that the industry's constant challenge to raise the bar in order to deeply distinguish professionally product porn from user generated content and you had a very tall order to fill.

Of all the directors we enjoyed in 2009 there was one who rose above the pack - Will Ryder. 2009 was definitely the year of the spoof for porn and it's undisputed king is Will Ryder. After reinvigorating the genre a couple years ago Will Ryder has been on the crest of the wave of the porn parody, constantly pushing himself, promoting the genre and busting his ass to do it better.

In 2009 Ryder produced what we feel is the pinacle of the spoof genre - Not The Cosby Show XXX. Representing the best union of homage, parody, and porn, Not The Cosby Show XXX is the yardstick by which all other porn parodies should be measured against. It not only hits a home run as a parody, it's a solid narrative and one extremely hot film, representing some of the very best work released in 2009.

But Will Ryder never rests on his laurels (we hear he never actually rests at all). In 2009 he released an extremely solid slate of spoofs that consistently delivered including: Not The Bradys XXX: Pussy Power, Flight Attendants, Not Monday Night Football XXX, Not Married With Children XXX, Not Three's Company XXX and This Ain't The Partiridge Family XXX.
