Adrianna Luna interview

It was not that long ago when I had interviewed Adrianna for the first time. She was the industry's "It Girl" at the moment. It has now been several months till that time and now, this starlet is reaping the awards. Having won the Nightmoves Award for Best New Starlet, Adrianna is the frontrunner for that award in the next round of award shows. Her profile has gotten brighter and with more public exposure as she has become an iconic Penthouse Pet. This month she is also the Danni Girl for October. Having been in the industry for less than two years, Adrianna is in limited company of receiving all of this recognition in this short amount of time.

Hi Adrianna, congratulations on winning Best New Starlet at the recent Nightmoves Awards? What does this recognition mean to you?

Thank you! Having my work recognized is so rewarding and makes me feel like all my hard work is paying off. Just to be nominated was so exciting, but to actually win the award is amazing! Words can’t express how happy I was when I heard my name called at the show. I’m truly grateful to my fans and all the critics for the love and support.

It is also an awesome honor to be named Penthouse Pet and Cover Model for November. How did you find out that you were going to be selected for this prestigious honor? What are your thoughts about being a Penthouse Pet?

I got the news while I was on set in San Francisco at the end of July. I remember sitting on a couch during a break and getting a call from my agent. He played a little joke on me by saying that he had some bad news about having to reschedule an upcoming shoot I was looking forward to. He followed that by saying that the shoot had to be rescheduled because a really big opportunity had come up that needed to take place on that day. My disappointment quickly turned to excitement and curiosity. He said, "You've been chosen to be Penthouse Pet!" I'm pretty sure I screamed a little.

To not only get the title of Penthouse Pet, but to also get the cover of the magazine for November, is so thrilling! It's more then I could've hoped for! I feel so honored to be Penthouse Pet, and humbled to be chosen out of so many beautiful women in the industry.

The accolades just keeping rolling along for you. You are currently October's DanniGirl of the Month. I wonder what you are going to be for December. This year has been an amazing one for you. How have the people in this industry treated you?

I feel like Christmas came very early for me this year! All these amazing opportunities have been coming my way so quickly, and I couldn’t be more thankful. The response from my peers in the industry has been great! I’ve received so many kind words and well wishes. They all seem to be very happy for me.

How long have you been in this industry and how did you get into it?

I got into the industry in March 2011, so it’s been about a year and a half. I got into the industry on a whim after one of my girlfriends suggested I give it a try. I thought she was joking at the time, but I went with it and I’m glad I took the chance.

How does it feel when fans recognize you in public?

It’s still a little weird to me and I get surprised people know who I am. It’s very flattering though.

I am quite impressed with your CrossFit and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) skills. How did you become involved in them? Could you tell us what your training sessions are like and how do you feel right before a match?

I got into both because of my love for fitness. I got into MMA through muay thai. I’ve been doing muay thai for about 7 years now. I started doing crossfit a year ago, and have found it to be a great outlet for me to compete in without putting so much visible strain on my body. It’s gotten me into the best shape and I don’t have to worry about getting all bruised up or breaking my nose!

Where do you want your Mixed Martial Arts skills take you? Do you want to compete in more matches? Do you want to be a champion some day?

I would love to compete in more fights! I continue training, but don’t have any fights lined up at the moment. It’s been hard to balance my fight training with work because I have to be really careful not to bruise or injure my body. I’ve had to alter my training a bit, but I would love to be the champ one day! That would be awesome!

You are currently the "It Girl" in porn right now. What does it feel like to have the industry and press give you that title? Do you feel a lot of pressure?

It’s incredibly flattering to be given that title, and to get such positive feedback from the industry and press. I’m honored that my work is getting so much recognition and that I stand out among so many other beautiful and talented women. I don’t feel a lot of pressure when it comes to shooting my scenes. From day one, I’ve just gone out there and had fun. I don’t think there’s a specific way you’re supposed to be or act when on camera. I think the best way is to go out there and just get into the scene; to truly have a good time and enjoy the sex. I think at the end of the day, your natural sex appeal and sexual energy will translate the best way on camera. That’s what I’ve always done on camera, and it appears to be working well so far.

What traits of a woman do you admire most? What makes a woman sexy? What traits of a man do you admire most? What makes a man sexy?

I admire a woman who is strong and assertive, and able to speak her mind. I think a woman's confidence makes her really sexy. Someone who is totally comfortable in their own skin and can be completely open sexually is extremely hot and a huge turn on. Traits in men that I admire are honesty, loyalty, kindness and strength. I think a man that takes control, is aggressive, and goes for what he wants is extremely sexy. I love it when a man takes control in bed, tosses me around, and has his way with me!

What has been the biggest surprise for you about the adult industry?

The biggest surprise is the amount of power the women have on set and in this industry. On set, people are always trying to make the female talent feel very comfortable and at ease. Their voices are always heard and things are adjusted to accommodate the girls. In terms of in the industry it's probably one of the only fields where the women are paid more than the men. The girls also seem to acquire more fame and recognition than the men and are given more attention in the films.

How were you as a kid growing up?

I was super active and a huge tomboy. I loved playing outside, getting dirty, and playing sports. I was also very shy.

What are your hobbies and interests?

My biggest hobby or interest at the moment is crossfit! I'm super addicted and can't get enough. I started competing in crossfit competitions this year and work on getting stronger and faster everyday!

What is your favorite thing about being an adult performer?

The sex!

Film wise, I have a movie coming out for Evil Angel called “Bikini Clad Cum Sluts 2” that I’m really excited about, and got the box cover! It’s a b/b/g scene that is incredibly hot, raw, dirty and very naughty. I had such a great time shooting the scene, and really pushed the envelope for this one. The movie is scheduled to release on October 22nd.

Aside from this, I’m always shooting and working hard to produce hot scenes for the fans. I’m ending the year on a really high note, and excited to see what the next few months will bring!
