I've seen people here mention that they shave their balls and I don't remember anyone asking why.

Why? What are your favorite techniques? Who do you this for? Yourself or your SO? I'm sure there are hundreds of other important questions I haven't asked.

I do it. I do it for myself. It's more comfortable. I use a regular razor. No big deal if you take it slow and pay attention.

It's more comfortable and not as sweaty in the summer. Take a hot shower and use the Mach3 with soap.

When I was a young 'un (about 15 actually), I used to shave it, b/c I thought it'd be more comfortable... it wasn't. The stubble was annoying to deal iwth and I saw it as an unnecessary chore. So gave it up after a few weeks. Now, I'm glad that I don't shave it, I mean, when I have to get the boys checked, I don't want my doctor inquiring about the shaving. But do whatever suits your comfort.

I also wonder if some guys shave it at their GFs' request, for the sake of a cleaner BJ.

Not necissarily a request but proper grooming should result in a woman spending more time down there. Anything that might result in more sex Im doing.

I used to do it for kicks!
I then found out the ladies like it.
It also feels better when doing the nasty.
The current girlfriend wouldn't have it any other way, it also provides her with better suction capabilities.
I'm so used to doing it now, I don't even think about not doing it.
It only takes like 2 min at the most in the shower.

I started shaving when I was banging a girl that shaved. It felt really good - skin on skin. It's less sweaty and my fiancee' loves it. She doesn't like me too hairy down there.

Just takes a few minutes and it's painless... If you do it - along with the rest of your pubic trimming/shaving - every few days then it won't itch.

And as PerpleNerple said, women dig it. My GF loves it. Anything that improves the sex life is A-OK in my book... And honestly, most men seem to want their women shaved and/or trimmed, why would women not feel the same way about their men?

Buford - Yes, your doctor should be checking your package during a physical (testicular cancer screen, etc).

hmmm..so you all shaved it BALD?? I trim...I use a small beard trimmer, use the smallest attachement and just give them a once a week run over...balls included...I have never thought of going all the way bald. I think it would be a lot of trouble. I just think it looks neater and most gals are pleasantly surprised...and yes it helps in the BJ dept. No pubes in the mouth!

Well, me personally, just the balls are shaved bald... The rest I keep cropped - very short - with the same kind of trimmer that you use...

started shaving the boys recently.

damn, i was pissed it took me so long to figure this out. at first i was nervous, using a razor blade on my sack, but it's not that bad.

now, i've got to find a good way to trim the rest of it down there.

but, stop being a bunch of babies and shave your damn balls.

Yes, completely bald. I can't imagine using a trimmer, that seems to me, well, useless. I use a trimmer for the patch of hair above said area. I have to shave the shaft as well, because I do have hair that grows on it too. Not much, but there is a little. Bald is better, skin on skin is sooooo wonderful. It is no trouble shaving, and it just feels better.

I started doing this a few months ago. It's not bad, but I'm not going completely shaven. I don't feel right with a razor that close to my dick. Use a 1 above and no gaurd below.

38) No Otter shall use nair 'down there'...we have learned from younger and less mature boards that this is a bad idea.

Personally, I don't like guys who shave down there. It doesn't look right. Men are meant to have hair down there. Trimming is alright, but shaving... ugh. No.

What kind of physicals are you getting that your doctor is looking at your wang? Just a normal checkup? My doctor never touches anything. I don't even take anything off. Is she massaging your prostate too?

it was a "new patient" physical/check up
but every physical I've ever had has included a hernia check which involves that area being felt. you know, "turn your head and cough"

Yes, I know that. That's exactly why I don't shave, either. I keep it nicely trimmed. I think it looks better (when kept well-groomed) and it's more hygenic. The hair is there for a reason: To keep sweat from getting in the vagina and causing infection. Kind of like how eyebrows are on the face to keep sweat from getting into your eyes. ;)

But yeah, I do get what you're saying. Most women shave anyway. Whatever is comfortable, I guess...

Never get them sucked on when they are furry!

In response to the title question:
1. Less sweat.
2. Makes the Masters and Johnson look bigger.
3. When getting hummers there is less stoppage to get the hair out of her mouth.
4. Just a more comfortable overall feel.

Not necessarily in that order.

I highly recommend putting the clippers to the crippler.

Tried shaving clean but much more effort and effect was similar after day or two.
