Stripper prices?

So I just turned 18 today and my friends took me to this local strip joint (Club Juana in Central FL). And we were all clueless on how much we should be tipping and stuff, any idea where I can look up this information for future visits? I got a free lap dance because it was my birthday (:)) but was just wondering if $10 is good for that because they said that was the going rate and how much you would have to tip after it was done or whatever, we were all clueless and I tried to look up information with no help. Thanks!

just be happy you could go into a strip club. Not too many places let in 18 yr olds. $10 is pretty cheap.

Lots of factors.

The club - Is it a "classy" place, with model-caliber girls, or is it a dank hole-in-the-wall where stretch marks are the norm?

The girl - Was she friendly? Obviously, she gets paid to be friendly, but did she at least make it seem halfway sincere?

The dance - How long was the dance, 2 songs? 3? Did she just dance in front of you, or did she climb on your lap and use her breastuses as earmuffs for you?

The benefits - Did she offer to use her hand on on you? Her mouth? Yes it's illegal, but let's not kid each other. These are titty bars, not synagogues.

Minimum tip is $5, maximum is your 401K. Much wiggle room! :)

By the way, and I am NOT condoning this, but it sure helps your cause if you have a rock of coke in your pocket.

It wasn't really a classy place at all, kinda seedy but it wasn't a hole-in-the-wall. They were all sort of friendly because you could look at my friends and I and understand we're just turned 18 year olds not knowing what to do lol. The dance was 3 songs long and it was mostly just dancing in front of us, and when we got up to give money she danced a lot closer. And no benefits. I saw other guys over on the other side that seemed to know what they were doing giving like 1 dollar also for just the normal dancing stuff..... also since we went pretty early (around 7 pm) does that change pricing too? There was like 7-10 ppl in there max...... I guess I need like a calculator putting in all the factors and it spits out all the different prices lol

lol, that's just normal dancing, you dont need to tip unless you feel like it. you only pay when they give you a lap or table dance, ie, they are not dancing on stage.

If you are 18 it is probably a all nude BYOB place. I prefer the topless clubs to the all nude because they usually have better looking women and a better atmosphere, plus I almost always get better dances at a topless bar but you have to be 21 to get into one of those. Most of the bars in Houston charge $20 per song for a dance but that is with the girl grinding on your lap and you can usually get alot of play out of them. I know there is a stated 3 foot law but no one follows that law in Houston. Some of the all nude places have $10 dances but you usually get what you pay for and most of the time they will have another area with more expensive dances where you will get a better show but have to pay alot more.

One rule to follow is NEVER use a credit card, I learned early on that this is an easy way to get into trouble at a Titty Bar.

Man when I go to the clubs, I always end up losing around $100 which includes the expensive drink prices.

Well, I've been to a strip club exactly twice in my life [Spearmint Rhino, Downtown LA: :up:], so I don't have any firsthand experience with this............but, "I heard tings."

Most recent example would be some chain that got in trouble - might have been called The Gold Club or something? Anyhoo, one of the alleged infractions was that they'd routinely overcharge credit cards. Another no-no was encouraging their dancers to sleep with famous clientele to attract more high-end patrons (who, presumably, wouldn't care as much when you overcharged them by a few grand)! :eek:

It's about the aforementioned Gold Club in Atlanta, and yes, evidently the strippers were paid to do favors for Patrick Ewing! At the bottom of the page, click on the link about "huge credit card tabs" for the story of some poor schmuck who was charged twenty-six thousand dollars for 5 hours at the place! Yikes, hope those lap dances were pretty intense! :)
