A Serious Question About Lesbian Porn

I know a lot of the major porn stars do lesbian scenes as well as straight scenes. And there are all-girl themed movies. But these movies seemed targeted for a male audience. Do lesbians like watching this stuff? Gay men have gay porn, but are gay women "forced" to watch lesbian porn that is conceived for a male market? Is there porn that is specifically geared for lesbians? Do lesbians like "artful" softcore like Playboy?

Allow me to preface this by saying I'm not a lesbian. I'm a heterosexual male.

I have, however, read a decent amount of lesbian erotica, written by lesbians. Most of the stuff reads like it's from a Penthouse letter. I'd swear it was written by men -- it's gross and filthy and kinky (not that there's anything wrong with that). There's very little "art" to be had.

It actually goes a long way in validating my personal theories regarding female sexuality.
