Gay men and women spend more time on foreplay than their straight counterparts, according to a new survey.
The report, from lingerie providers Beau Blue, found that gay couples spend on average of 25 minutes more on foreplay than the national average, making them the better lovers.
In the survey, released to coincide with National Foreplay Day, straight men came out as flops in the bedroom, with 8% failing to recognise what foreplay is, mistaking it for a type of sport, a computer game and even an item of clothing.
Regionally, Scottish men and women have come out on top at spending the most amount of time on foreplay, with 60% spending 45 minutes or more on foreplay. The English came a close second, averaging 34 minutes on foreplay.
In comparison, the Welsh wouldn’t spend more than 10 minutes on foreplay.
And despite arguably having the sexiest accent, the Irish failed to spend more than 4 minutes on foreplay, marking themselves as damp squibs in comparison.
This is the first National Foreplay Day, which will be followed by National Orgasm Day tomorrow.

On the downside for me, the extended foreplay would be with...
...another guy. :yack:
If I wanted to be with a guy, I'd just masturbate.

My guess is that if the equipment doesn't line up, you do what you can with what you've got -wink-

How can you compare foreplay "statistics" between gay and straight sex? That's like comparing football statistics to water polo statistics.

i may be naive but what else do gay women do that wouldn't be considered foreplay? Isn't there whole thing (trying to keep clean) basically what is considered foreplay?

I was thinking something along the same lines. How does a member of each group define foreplay? Is oral sex participating in foreplay or participating in sex? Would members of each group see various acts as falling into the same category... heck, would members within each group?

Which gays probably invented so they could then brag about stuff like this. :)

I'm no rocket scientist, but it seems to me that their equipment lines up quite nicely (gay men, that is).

Gay guys are still guys. I have my suspicions about what that foreplay involves -- chugging a beer, watching some tv, talking off their clothes. . .

Well, since statistics are rigged, IMHO, this survey was probably done by gays.
If they are true statistics (whatever that may be), I feel sorry for all the women out there. I take care of my woman when it comes to the bedroom. I'll stay down there as long as she lets me, sometimes it's 5 min. others it's an hour. Depends on her.
But then again, look at it this way:
Straights are better at getting their partners off quicker, we could just clock this all up to gays lameness in bed. ;)

Another fine example of utterly useless statistics.

If gay men understood how -AWESOME- Vagina is like straight me do then they would be in a hurry to get into it too.
More foreplay for Gay men just means they're delaying getting nailed in or nailing a colon

1. ok fair enough..
2. You know what? I never thought about that. I guess I can relate to that because even as a straight male, most of the time I would rather go down on a girl than penetrate her. Seriously, tell me LS I would like to learn more.

Giantrobo: Ok. You asked me and I'll tell you ;): I really enjoy kissing, touching of the body, nipple play, rubbing bodies together, mutual masturbation, oral (we are the same in that aspect :) ). As far as anal goes, I have never done it and don't have any interst in it. I'm all for anal stimulation with fingers, though....just not penetration.
