I agree that seeing women enjoying sex is a huge turn-on - but it's gotta be genuine. Most of it is badly, badly faked, bordering on unwatchable.

The stereotype about porn objectifying women as pleasure toys for men is all too true. In fact, I think it contributes to our skewed views of sex. Shooting some films showing women really, honestly enjoying sex is about forty years overdue.

You're hardly alone. I understand "money shot as a closure technique" (better to show a climax than just kind of wind down.) But I disagree; I think it's messy, unappealing, and can't possibly feel as pleasant as finishing in the natural ways. It's not even safe: I've read that semen is a strong irritant if it gets in one's eye.

I think women's orgasm in porn are emphasized so little because, very sadly, most men could care less if a girl cums, both in their porn and in their private lives. There's a reason why videos featuring anal and gapes and bukkake and truly rough sex, etc. and a lot of other things that have nothing to contribute to a woman's pleasure sell so well and it's because a large percentage of men don't care. Speaking for myself, I would much, much rather see a decent looking girl being given a huge, hip bucking orgasm than a Playboy playmate taking it in the ass. I like seeing threads like this pop up, unfortunately too rarely, because it's always nice to see the other men who treasure girl's orgasms give their two cents on the subject.

It amazes me that there seems to be some real confusion in the porn industry as to why squirting is a popular niche phenomenon. It's not the sight of fluid being expelled from a woman's vagina that, I think, does anything for any man. It's the fact that, when it's genuine, a squirt is an indicator of a woman having an orgasm. The first squirt I ever saw was Fallon, when she was young and very hot. I thought my nuts were going to explode when it happened. It was the most erotic thing I've ever seen.

I don't think it's that female orgasms are unpopular but there's just not an emphasis on them because they're not visual enough... for a woman, an orgasm is more of an internal thing.

With the male orgasm, you have the ejaculation which is external.

Also, since porn is aimed at a primarily male audience, I think it's more focused on the female "acceptance" of the male orgasm, bet it though swallowing, cream pie, facial, or getting shot on her tits or ass.

Which takes me back to Cytherea -- squirting aside, her orgasms tend to be very visual. It looks like she loses control of her body -- she's visibly shuddering, her legs are twitching, her eyes roll back in her head. It's just an amazing thing to watch.

I think that squirting is also popular because, like the male expelling semen during orgasm, it's a visual release of the female body's orgasmic pleasure. Even just regular peeing provides a similar effect... you know what's it's like to have a full bladder, and then take a good healthy piss... it provides a certain primal Freudian pleasure.
