Oklahoma authorities today arrested the porn actress accused of plying a 15-year-old De Anza High School student with sex and drugs last summer.
Genevieve Elise Silva, 20, was arrested by Kiowa County sheriff's deputies about 9 a.m. at a house in Roosevelt, Okla., said Richmond detective Sgt. Mitch Peixoto. Richmond police knew for some time where she stayed but needed to work out some extradition issues with local authorities prior to her arrest.
Silva was sought on a $10,000 arrest warrant on suspicion of rape using a controlled substance, statutory rape and detaining or concealing a child. An extradition hearing in an Oklahoma court was scheduled for this afternoon.
"Because his victimization involved sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll, people have varying opinions about how seriously this child was victimized," said Lt. Mark Gagan. "This is a 15-year-old who has lost 40 pounds and spent Christmas at a drug rehabilitation center far from his family ... this is not what we want for our 15-year-olds."
Silva, a former Richmond resident whom police said spent much time hanging around with De Anza students, left the state earlier this year with the victim, to stay with her mother. The victim ran away from his El Sobrante home during the summer to live with Silva, police said.
The victim met Silva through her brother, who was also a De Anza student. Police learned of the case after the victim's father found him and checked him into an out-of-state drug rehabilitation facility, where he began talking about his experiences.
Detectives say that the suspect and victim frequently had sex while under the influence of methamphetamine and ecstasy.
The Times does not name victims of sex crimes without their consent.
While investigating the case, police learned that Silva had performed in several X-rated movies sold on the Internet, and pornographic images of her are featured on several adult Web sites.
