For one they've never been stable. Secondly I got an e-mail from one of the moderators of the site the other day saying he was willing to help someone else start up a similar site so he thought the site was dead.

 Holy crap, I thought it was down for good this time. I got that email too, so I thought that maybe they would be trying a new site from scratch or something, but instead the old one is back, old threads and everything. Great news  (hopefully it will last)

Hello,
RiP-Productions is back for now. The founders asked me at first to take the forum offline due to the increased pressure on them. I complied at first seeing the GFY issues but I was ofcourse quite angry at putting it offline. However, a week later I send everyone a 'last' e-mail and I was quite amazed about the response I've gotten. I have put a lot of work in RiP and don't want to see it abruptly end. I eventually decided to put RiP back online.
Some things have changed though. Both founders decided to stop, 'officially'. The server is now ran by a 2nd individual and I'll keep doing what I've always done at RiP; enjoying myself.
My only request is to not hype the return of RiP. The board stays private and only accessible by the current memberbase. The only bad thing is we may have to rename to the board and find a new URL. But I'll promise I'll try to convince the founders .
Greets,
Syba.
Keep hope alive!

Does "current members" mean, people who paid to support the site? I was a member, although not a paid member... but now, when I try to log-on, I get denied, and if I as to get my password resent, it says they no longer have my email addy on file...
Weird...

i registered a few weeks after the first "rip productions is a kick ass site" thread came up. i don't have many posts over there, and have never paid a dime but my registration worked.

No luck here either.
Strange, never heard of the site before and when I exit out of the password screen, it jumps over to " disney.go.com " -eek-

I was just able to sign back in - this is so cool!!
I had gave up on them and deleted the link out of my favorites.
I don't know what happened but it is great to have them back after they said it was over.
