Vivid has more to lose than anyone if they break the law, violate a restraining order (like they'll "leak it" and admit it; otherwise not selling copies to the curious), or otherwise release the title before they are able. All indications are that the scenes were lawfully obtained and the participants were aware of the taping.

I do have a solution though; if Howard had already sent us a screener (or one to me personally) before any court orders, it would be out of his control with regard to me reviewing it (and she looked pretty hot to me too; unlike Screech, Chyna, and some of the other "celebrities" out on DVD). I know the mail goes really, really, slowly sometimes and stuff gets put into my stack so who knows... ;)

Pam Anderson's Sex Tape Got loosed on the Net then Vivid grab a hold for an official release...

Paris' Sex Tape (The night vision) went out first before before Red Light District officially release a full version (which comes with non-nightvision scenes) and it did went on to be the top selling vid for 2004.

Its as simple as that.. I guess the wrong move that Vivid did was admitting they got a hold of the Kim Kardasian Sextape. I guess your marketing team who handles publicity for this release are not that witty enough.

Kim Kardashian plans to file a legal claim in an effort to prevent the release of her X-rated tape featuring former boyfriend, singer Ray J, Usmagazine.com reports.

On Tuesday, Vivid Entertainment, the world's leading adult film studio, says it has paid $1-million to acquire rights to a video tape featuring the sexual exploits of raven-haired Hollywood socialite Kim Kardashian and her then boyfriend, hip hop star Ray J.

The company said the DVD titled "Kim Kardashian Superstar" should be in stores by Feb 28. It will also be available online on the same day at www.vivid.com or www.kimksuperstar.com and will include additional footage not on the DVD.


When contacted by Us for comment, Kardashian, 26, confirmed the tapes' existence, but insists she has "nothing to do" with them being made public.

Kardashian tells Usmagazine.com that she is “hurt and embarrassed” about the prospect of the tape being made public. She added that she will be issuing a statement about developments to prevent a planned DVD release. She plans to take legal action as soon as today.
