You've gotta be kidding. You make something 50 x 50 and you can't even tell what the hell it is.

Huh? From the FAQ section: "Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 14.6 KB (whichever is smaller)."

Yes, I can tell what they are. Those people are reviewers. I am not. They apparently have larger avatars available to them. I do not. That is the reason for my question.

It looks to me like "Registered Users" do have a 50 x 50 limit. I can fix that, but I'll need permission from our esteemed leader.

Sorry for the earlier reply; I merely cut & pasted the written FAQ (though I was supportive of larger avatars all along).

Keep in mind that at DVD Talk, there are hundreds of requests made each day and many of them contrary to one another. On top of that, there are so many areas needing to be upgraded, fixed, de-bugged, or otherwise worked on that it's always been tough to get personalized service (though back in the first couple months of 1999, I recall it being pretty easy to get the owner's attention).

If you have more ideas that would benefit members/lurkers/etc., by all means let us know. Our goal is to continually work on making the website a better place; one look at the reviews will prove my point. :)
