Ok...seriously now...is there any way to stop these goddamn Tramadol spammers from posting? Blocking, maybe? And why the fuck do they keep posting it in the Who's That Girl subforum?

Sorry. I'm just getting tired of seeing this crap keep popping up three or four times daily.

The spam posts are not showing up on the individual forums, but they are still listed as the most recent post when I view the forums from the top level.

I blocked their IP and added that word to our spam filter.

I just report them. I don't know who the reports go to.

They show up in a special place where the Moderators and Administrators see them (oh, and me too; I tend to delete a lot of them but thankfully, most of them are the same forum which makes this process easy). Maybe we should have a contest for who reports them the fastest and most often; I know you'd be a tough candidate to beat. ;)

I just reported two more in the Who's that Girl sub-forum. Maybe it's just me, but I really don't remember the forum getting spammed this much before the migration to xcritic. Was it being blocked somehow on dvdtalk or was it just not targeted as much?

What the hell? I make 1 post, refresh after a few minutes and there are about 10 spam messages in multiple forums. Can nothing be done?:mad:

The previous ones were Russian spammers, these are Chinese spammers so it takes longer for our special "Sperminator 2008 (http://www.xcritic.com/reviews/read.php?ID=31728)" to catch them. ;)

:D Ok then. I got kinda paranoid all of a sudden. The forum was completely quiet then they started popping up everywhere right after I posted. I felt like I was being ambushed. :)

I've again updated our spam security measures. Also moved the Who'se That Girl forum and replaced it with a new forum. In case it's hard coded into some spammers system.

They sell illegal drugs, memberships to porn sites, violate the TOS, and even try to sell sneakers. For awhile they were sticking to the Who's That Girl thread but they have been evolving over time too...

Traffic to the main part of the site is up dramatically, so I don't know why there are fewer posts in the forum.
