Inspired by the Blog Feedback thread-
Move it into a sub-forum?

Good poll. I appreciate you posting it. I'll absolutely weigh the results in terms of what we do going forward.

Well, it looks like all 17 people that post in this forum have voted. What's the next move?

I haven't vote. It's undecided for me because it doesn't bother me if blog-discussion appeared in Adult Talk forum.

i feel like separating the blog feedback from adult talk would be a less than great move.
hopefully the more blog discussion that goes on, the more the bloggers might be motivated to sign up for the forums and participate here as well
if it's in it's own forum, then i think people might not respond to a blog feedback thread after it gets started.

I'm in agreement here. The original complaint was that there were too many forums and not enough people posting. That's changing with time (as predicted) but there is hardly a wave of blog responses burying the rest of the posts as suggested by some. I've been emailing my responses to most of the writers but I read every one of them (even David's obscure, and now gone, blogs); finding a lot to interest me.
On a positive note, there are a LOT of people wanting to blog here; some will be infrequent and others less so, but unless there is a wave of protest (out of ~6000 registered users, under two dozen have expressed an opinion), a subforum seems counter intuitive so I got your back Stoya babe!

My vote: build-in a function that allows readers to respond below the blog, instead of being re-directed to the forum. Gawker has something similar to this, and there are countless other blogs that enable reader feedback on some sort of form attached to the blog itself.

But do you think that a response to a blog that isnt in the Adult Talk to begin with should be posted in the forum?I think with its own forum, people could see what blogs have popular responses, and see all of them in one spot, instead of mixed in with everything else in Adult Talk.

...out of 6000 registered users, under two dozen remain here
FIXED!!! FIXED!!! (repeated only because of the 10-character-minimum requirement to post, LOL)

Per your feedback thread, it's clear you're not happy with the site. Sorry that's the case, can't say you had the most positive perspective as we launched, but hey...can't make everyone happy.

I'm not sure what the first part means since there aren't any blogs in the adult forum but that's our "main" forum which is why I think it makes the most sense. The original idea brought up was that the blog responses would sink all the many topics in the main forum but that hasn't been the case. As the forums grow, it might be worth revisiting (if that's the sole objection) but blog responses are read more than a little so it also gives newcomers (the blogs are listed on several large websites that bring in traffic) a look at what's going on in the general forum too. A few people have been doing a decent job swaying my opinion a bit via email and I know our editor is open to any positive suggestions that people make (I really dislike the idea of keeping the blog responses attached to the blogs BTW) because he truly wants the membership to drive how things are done (within reason and not by being bullied by certain people).
As far as Mr Sunshine's perspective, ~200 hits in a thread at this writing have yielded less than a 5% voting rate (sounds like some of the federal primaries in "off" years) and this is the forum least likely to have nude pictures so I think his math skills are questionable but his rhetoric is certainly expected.

the original blogs not being in the Adult Forum is my main point. Why would a 'feedback' go to a forum in which the blog itself isn't in?I understand the point about encouraging posting, and to make it easy for new members to jump in,but it just seems cluttered to me.
Example-I saw a blog feedback about 'seeing Cloverfield alone and a hot chick' or something like that.now because that movie was bitchin',I went to the blog. The guy was just talking about how he referred some random girl who wanted to get into porn to a friend of his. That was it.Now instead of wasting time reading that,I could have been reading something else.
Now if the mood struck me and I wanted to see what blogs are popular,I could go to its subforum and see which ones are getting posted on.I could see ALL of them, instead of a few thrown around the AT page.IMO it seems more efficient to have it on its own page.

If the blog feedback threads continue to routinely get only a couple dozen views, then they probably belong in their own sub-forum.

I must be looking at different threads than you since I keep seeing the ones with hundreds of views.

I'm looking at six of the last seven on page 1.

I don't think I saw any of them as rarely viewed as two dozen times but I'd suggest that if they were read a whole lot more, they'd be better served in their own sub-forum. ;)

15 of 27 topics currently on the first page are blog feedback posts... a quick scan of those it seems most of the activity posting on those is by people connected to the site (mods, reviewers, 'industry' types) very few 'regular' posters are contributing to these threads. Although can't really blame them for pushing the other topics off as the bottom threads last post is over a week old... it does seem that these are filler topics among the staff with not a whole lot of interest by the public, and they do seem to clutter up the place.
Either they need their own sub-forum or the format of them needs to be changed as to be more inclusive of the content being discssed... as someone mentioned adding the comments to the blogs themselves would make more sense.

I've got the blog feedback integration/migration/etc on my to do list. I agree that there is some sort of better long term solution.

In the near term I've decided to split off the Blog Feedback posts into a new forum:
