Harmony Films Wins First XBiz Award, Emerging Studio of the Year
LOS ANGELES — In a category represented by outstanding contenders, U.K.-based premier all-sex producer Harmony Films took the Emerging Studio of the Year award at the 2008 XBiz Awards Show. The trophy is the company's first from adult trade magazine XBiz.
Harmony Films, producer of critically-acclaimed series such as "Fuck Me," "Slam It!" and home to international award winning directors Gazzman and Tanya Hyde, bested Club Jenna's Filthy Films reality imprint, feature startup Pulpo Inc. and others.
"We've always known we've had excellent product shot by some of the most decorated directors in the world — Gazzman and Tanya Hyde have won AVN awards, Barcelona NINFAs and trophies from the Berlin Venus show — and we felt it was time to bring them to a worldwide audience," Jason Maskell, sales and marketing manager, said. "We've brought Dave West on board to take the 'Slam It' series to the states and hired Los Angeles-based publicist Wayne Hentai to handle our worldwide public relations efforts. Harmony is making headway in building its name around the globe."
