LOS ANGELES – (February 15, 2008) – Vivid-Ed (www.vivid-ed.com), the educational imprint of Vivid Entertainment (www.vivid.com), has signed award-winning adult film star Penny Flame to direct her own line of sex education movies. With over 250 adult movies under her belt, Penny has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience about sex. She's ready to share that knowledge, and put her own unique spin on sex ed for a new generation. Flame's first title for the line will be "Penny Flame's Expert Guide to Hand Jobs for Men and Women" due later this year. Flame and Tristan Taormino, head of Vivid-Ed, co-wrote the script and Taormino produced the film. "Penny is smart, articulate, sassy, and has a loyal fan base. She's real and people can relate to her which makes her perfect for Vivid-Ed. We're so lucky to have her!" says Taormino.

Taormino says, "Once Vivid-Ed got off the ground, I wanted to expand the imprint by bringing other directors on board, especially women. I first shot Penny in "Chemistry 4" and immediately was impressed by her honesty, enthusiasm and talent." On the set of "Chemistry 4", Taormino watched as Penny gave a hand job to a fellow performer that wowed everyone in the room, and a light bulb went off. "So the idea for Penny's first title came from a very organic place. She has amazing skills with her hands." Adds Penny, "When people think of hand jobs, they usually only think of men. But my guide is all about how to bring pleasure to both men and women with your hands."

Penny Flame began her career in the adult industry in 2001, while she was still a student at San Diego State University. She has been honored with countless nominations and four AVN Awards, including two she won last month—Best Actress and Best Couples Sex Scene—for her work in Vivid's film "Layout" directed by Paul Thomas. Penny says, "Vivid has always been my favorite company to work for, and to be able to direct for their new educational imprint is the highest honor. I'm most excited that I'll be making educational guides. I want to help people have honest conversations about their desires and be able to connect and really experience each other as never before." She continues, "Porn is porn, but it takes a special kind of movie to help the world have great sex. Under the wings of Tristan, I'm going to try my best to help the world have mind blowing, leg shaking, and toe curling sex."

I'd like to see her make another crazy little vignette flick like she did with Smokie over at Shane's World. Maybe a little less pot used in the process but allowing her the freedom to cut loose again...
