Legal to produce internet porn from your home?

Just always been curious about this and thought I would go ahead and ask. Maybe just point me to some online reading? You see more homespun porn sites popping up and dying all the time and with the AVN news, it made me bring this up.

I remember seeing something on the news (60 minutes) several years ago about a woman performing sexual acts with herself from her home distributed over the net. I believe the state got involved and possibly the federal government due to interstate trafficking. Cannot remember how it turned out.

So I would assume you would have to have a state business license as with any money-making venture.

Also, would it matter if you are paying people or just you and your spouse? How is this not turned into a prostitution charge?

Is this a matter of state decency laws or federal? If it is state I would assume then that certain states would not allow such a thing from the home.

Anyway, any ideas?
