Back to Back AVN Awards for Editing Demonstrate Sonny’s Prolific Career!

December 28, 2010 --- RESEDA, Calif. --- On January 8, skillful editor Sonny Malone will be inducted into AVN’s 2011 Hall of Fame class. Sonny Malone is one of the most prolific and awarded adult movie editors of the past decade. In back to back years, Sonny earned AVN’s Best Editing awards for “The Masseuse” (2005) and “The New Devil in Miss Jones” (2006). Over the course of her career, Sonny lent her talents to many of the top studios in the adult industry, refining their movies with her unique touch. Sonny Malone says, “I am so proud to be inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame because I know the honor comes from my peers within the industry. I edit every movie with the same standard of perfection and quality regardless whether it is a big-budget feature or a string of vignettes. I believe that is the reason I’ve found success. About Sonny Malone:
Sonny Malone is one of the most prolific editors to work in adult entertainment. Upon graduating from Columbia College in Hollywood, CA with a focus in film and post-production, Sonny had her eyes on a mainstream career. However, it was adult studio Sin City, which had its eyes on her. Sonny has remained an adult film editor ever since. She credits much of her success to her sense of timing and ability to read an audience—two traits she honed from performing stand-up comedy. The two-time recipient of AVN’s Best Editing award cites Paul Thomas’ “The New Devil in Miss Jones” as her favorite project, as it fully challenged her creativity.
