All guys pay for sex one way or another, with a prostitute it's just upfront. Why go through the hassle of three dates for a mediocre lay when you can shell out the cash equivalent for a great one?

The vast majority of men who patronize prostitutes are married. So generally they can get sex but are looking for variety in either different sex acts or just another woman without the danger of an affair.

I guess if a guy can't get laid except from a hooker he would be a loser. Others just prefer the convenience.

IMO, society makes it harder than ever to be a single man by having prostitution illegal. Men have needs, and sex is about as basic as food and water IMO. The way I look at it, hookers just give men what they need who don't have the time to work for it in a bar.

I agree with this (for the most part).. someone once told me that he didn't want to waste time wining and dining a girl, he didn't want a relationship, he didnt want commitment, he just wanted to get laid that night, so he might as well pay someone who not only was experienced, but would fake that she was having a good time, and treat him like he was the king of the world, something he would likely never experience with a long term girlfriend. (of course it cost him a little extra to be "king of the world" but still).

I once heard, and don't know if it's true, that when Charlie Sheen got caught with a hooker he was asked why he would pay for sex when he could have so many women for free. His response was that he wasn't paying for the sex, he was paying for her to leave afterwards.

That said, I was "with" a prostitute one time. A friend of mine talked me into going to an oriental massage parlor. After what was the best damn massage I've ever had (for real) she had me flip over and she continued. By the time she grabbed Mr. Happy and asked if I wanted "more" I was feeling too damn good to even think about saying no.

If I could find a woman that knew how to give massages like that... I even offered to pay for the girl I was seeing (more like occasionally ****ing, not a real relationship) at the time to take a massage class.

To answer the question, do I feel like a loser? Not at all, and I bet 90% of the men here wouldn't have been able (or wanted) to say no in that situation.

There's also a bit of a difference to the Hookers Charlie was rooting and the ones you find on the street corner. For several thousand dollars an hour, these girls were like the best of the best, model quality and then some!

I do not think that men who partake in paying for sex are losers. They just have the need to get some, and do not have a problem paying for it. Most guys have no problem wineing and dining a chick, so why have a problem skipping that step and getting straight to the action?

I don't think they are loser but they are certainly people who have issues.

I can understand the whole "I gotta get laid now" theory. I've been at that point many times. But if you can't find a girl with lower standards that will hook you up then I'd say you are far better off taking matters into your own hands.

There have been a few shows on recently about hookers and boy are some of them past their expiration date. WHEW!

I know it seems like a ton of work to wine and dine a lady. Hell.....I'm married and it still takes some effort to get sex at times but I'd certainly rather work for it then pay for it.
