SexZ Pictures Goes Mainstream Hollywood

(Hollywood, CA) Fresh off a second consecutive Best Video Feature award for their epic sci-fi adventure Upload, SexZ Pictures is going mainstream Hollywood. The decision has been made to jump into the mainstream movie market with a number of projects that will firmly plant the adult production studio into independent movie soil.

SexZ Pictures will be making a trek to the MIPTV convention in Cannes, France April 7th-11th in an effort to expose the company to mainstream distributors, networks and other buyers.

“We’ve done as well as we could ever have expected in the world of adult and will continue to participate there, but the opportunity to increase our scope and also our content repertoire and to take advantage of the unique set of skills we have as a team make this a very calculated decision on our part,” stated SexZ Pictures CEO Bo Kenney.

With an incredible history in adult entertainment that started back in the late 1970s and continues on the retail side to this day, Kenney has seen numerous developments including the rise of the DVD and the internet explosion which has been both a blessing and a curse for traditional porn movie makers.

“We are living in challenging times as an industry but while exciting to some, the playing field is no longer level for others including some of the best content creators. We feel that the time is perfect for us to challenge ourselves with a new list of adventures that we think will provide greater rewards,” Kenney said.

With the eye of a mainstream director and a remarkable ability to create intriguing storylines, Eli Cross has created two masterpieces for SexZ Pictures including the political thriller Corruption that changed the fortunes of the company forever.

“We’ve been leaning in this direction at least in thought for some time now and with the current climate in adult being what it is, we decided to jump right into this and our next stop is in France,” stated the maverick owner Kenney.

The convention takes place at the Palais Des Festivals in picturesque Cannes and SexZ Pictures will be working out of booth 06.23 on a show floor that will feature 13,000 professionals involved in content creation, production and distribution across all traditional and digital platforms.

Contract superstar and 2007 Female Performer of the Year/Best Actress winner Hillary Scott and 2008 Best Actress winner Eva Angelina will accompany Kenney as dozens of scheduled meetings and impromptu exchanges will set a new course for the Manassas, Virginia based company.
