Non-sex roles by Katie Gold, Felix Vicious, Devinn Lane
Length: 100.5 minutes
Date of Production: 10/29/2004
Extra's: The best extra for most fans would be the bonus scene from Infidelity with Sydnee Steele, Mark Davis, Cheyne Collins, and Jason McCain. It looked like she was a groupie in the backstage room of a band. I liked her sexual energy and enthusiasm as well as the ultra hot PVC outfit she wore. I also liked the 21.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by the talented Mark Stone. There was more sex than usual and Devinn (the director) got a lot of screen time (always a good thing in my book). There was also a short, just over two minutes long, box cover shoot. It seemed as much a short interview with the hot Sydnee Steele (also a good thing) but it was well done and added some value to the DVD. There were then nine photogalleries and three "Star Stats", four promotional reels, the usual DVD Rom features like the awards extra, the Casino game, desktop backgrounds, and company profile, five trailers, a Wicked Pictures DVD catalog, and a double sided DVD cover. I didn't see any obvious Easter Eggs this time but for a small feature such as this, there was a nice package of extras overall.

Audio/Video Quality: Pillow Talk was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in for Wicked Pictures by cutie Devinn Lane. While the visual aspects were often very pleasing in some ways, there were too many shadows, a fair amount of pattern noise when fishnets were onscreen, and even some moments where the focus was lost (something typically caught in editing). I know it was shot for couples but a bit more polish would've made it an easier sell for finicky girlfriends such as mine. On the positive side, the colors were accurate, the shots tended to enhance the looks of the cast, and there were no compression artifacts observed. The audio was presented in Wicked's usual 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English (although they spelled it wrong) or a 2.0 German track but neither had any significant separation between the channels or dynamic range worth mentioning. The vocals could be easily heard and the music was fitting for the scenes though so in all, it was pretty good.
Body of Review: Wicked Pictures is one of those companies that tends to provide great couples porn, from their features to their comedy releases, and you can almost always rely on the classy direction their shows get these days. Known over the last ten years for one of the most successful companies to employ a contract performer system, the company has proven that attractive women of all ages and looks could develop a fan base worthy of promoting. Today's review is of Pillow Talk, a smaller than usual feature by director/performer Devinn Lane who, sadly enough, wasn't in any of the sex scenes. The movie focused on a group of female friends exchanging anecdotes of their past love lives with a lighter than average touch (there was no plot, little acting other than to introduce the scenes, and it didn't break out into a lesbian orgy as it could've done). My biggest complaint of the movie was that the star, Sydnee Steele, had no sex with a man and that the comedic aspects were minimal (Wicked is known for comedies and while it brought the occasional smile to my face, it would be a major stretch to say this was a comedy). I would've liked to see that nonexistent lesbian orgy or have Devinn participate but overall, it was a pleasant experience. Here's a look at the scenes to give you more of an idea of what took place, noting that condoms were used throughout:
Scene One: Rebecca Love, a busty brunette with a pretty smile, nice ass and a face like mainstream actress Hillary Swank, was first up as a groupie/significant other of guitarist Evan Stone. The couple went at it backstage after a successful gig with him going down on her as energetically as ever, using his tongue and fingers to really warm her up. She greedily devoured his cock before riding him hard and it was nice seeing her large breasts bounce up and down on the couch. I like seeing gals aggressively participate in the sex rather than lie back and let the guy pump away so this was a decent scene. It ended when he jerked off on her chest.
Scene Two: Sydnee Steele, as a college student at a sorority house, was next up in a lesbian scene with Felecia. Okay, both of them would be unlikely to be in this situation (especially Felecia due to her age) but the suspension of disbelief needed for a porno is typically as much of a stretch as this so forget about it and enjoy the scene. Each went down on the other while Joelean secretly watched on the bed and while it wasn't their best work, I'd be lying if I said they didn't look pretty good here (especially Sydnee). They also used some toys with Felecia enjoying anal in a pretty energetic scene with some nice chemistry.
Scene Three: Joelean, a hot looking lean blonde with long hair and a beautiful face, was up next in a scene on a bed with muscular Tommy Gunn. The foreplay began with him using ice cubes and blindfolding her; going down on her passionately before she blew him in a very sensuous manner. She wasn't nearly as active when being boned this time as I've seen her before but I'd be misleading you if I said I really liked the scene beyond the oral and foreplay.
Scene Four: Haley Paige, wearing a fishnet outfit, Keiko, in a black dress, Jack Spade, and Mickey G. all had a good time in a swingers club. Katie Gold and Felix Vicious were eye candy in the background but the action centered primarily on the two couples doing the usual oral and straight sex routine. Of the leads, Haley looked the most toned and did the best work, but it was more of a filler scene in many ways and lacked the kind of energy I like to see in porn.
Scene Five: Alana Evans, a bleached blonde that looks much like Jill Kelly in her day, was up next in a romantic scene with Kris Slater, as the two celebrated their anniversary on a rose pedal covered bed. I liked that they kissed a lot and acted as though they were into the scene, almost as if it were for real in fact, something the movie might've tried to do in the other scenes more since the same old in and out gets tired after a while. The sex included oral, straight, and even anal but it was very nice watching it for the chemistry and energy; having lots of replay value too. Maybe if Devinn makes another couples film, she'll make all the scenes look more like this one since my significant other seemed to think this was one of the best shed seen in a while (although I should point out that Devinn now owes me the cost of a package of rose pedals and candles, if you catch my drift).
Scene Six: Sydnee Steele, looking even hotter in a luxurious bed, had yet another lesbian scene, this time with the cute and curvy Sarah Blake. It was tender, used the music as nicely as the other scenes did, and showcased the gals in action rather well. I liked how this time the gals didn't resort to large toys, proving that a formula of keeping it simple makes a lot of sense overall. I do wish it were lengthier and I still wished that Sydnee had done a scene with a guy in the movie but the scene rounded out a decent selection to me so I won't harp.
Summary: Pillow Talk was one of those breezy little features that was pleasing to the eye and not very demanding of your attention span. As a fan of Sydnee Steele (who danced in town recently but never let me know so I missed out seeing her…sniff), I would've liked to see more due to her almost universally solid performances and the movie could've used some more spit and polish (outside of the scenes) but I think most people will agree with me that it was worth a rating of at least a Rent It, if not more. Pillow Talk was designed for those who like their porn light and fluffy, not the fans of circus act sex, so your mileage will vary as to how much you enjoy it but fans of the cast will have enough here to keep them busy for a while.
