Extra's: In terms of extras, this volume was lighter than average for the well regarded series but still had some decent stuff. For comparison's sake, I combined the bonus scenes, all six of them, into the running time of the main compilation but they weren't bad at all. There were five photogalleries, including four from magazine photosets, and some trailers. There was also a double sided DVD cover and a short interview set apart from the one edited into the original scenes on disc one during the compilation.
Audio/Video Quality: The Private Life of Julie Silverwas presented in the same variety of aspect ratios the scenes were originally shot in for Private, including primarily 1.85:1 widescreen color but also several in 1.33:1 ratio full frame. I don't think any of the scenes looked too bad and most of them were fairly decent and clear, marking this as another reasonably appealing release in the series in that regard. The hint of grain and video noise from a few scenes was hardly enough to whine about and I saw no compression artifacts at all while watching this one. The audio was a mix of dubbed English and some that were recorded in English with little separation on the stereo track and even less dynamic range but I've heard a lot worse too so consider this about average for a foreign release. As always, there were scores of foreign languages and subtitles to pick from if that was what you were looking for as well.

Body of Review: Fans of star driven compilation scenes have found a great deal of variety in terms of quality on the market in recent years. Some companies edit the scenes or provide a no frills package of weak scenes while others go all out and give you your money's worth. Private has long been a leader in such compilations and their latest venture was The Private Life of Julie Silver (Private Life Series #26), a set of scenes starring the lean cutie Julie Silver in a host of scenes from her work at Private. As I've stated in the past, the Private Life of… series has provided a lot of fuck for the buck by showcasing hot women such as Jodie Moore, Sandy Styles, Petra Short, Monique Covet, Stacy Silver, Jessica May, Sandra Iron,Rita Faltoyano, Bettina, Jane Darling, Kate More, Wanda Curtis, Michelle Wild, and Silvia Lancome.
Julie Silver hadn't made a whole lot of movies with Private like some of the gals in this compilation series have so there was less to choose from in terms of the action. Most of the scenes included multiple partners and she even had a pretty decent lesbian scene on the second disc. The sex was a bit on the mechanical side with the usual formula Private uses of oral, straight, anal, and DP offered up any time there were more then two cocks in the scene with her. In large part, I think she made fans based on her lean, all natural figure and bleach blonde hair more than her sexual energy or creativity but I sure wouldn't kick her out of bed unless she wanted to do it from the chandelier so your personal enjoyment might be mixed depending on what you think of the starlet. I've seen a few scenes with her outside of Private and found those to be somewhat better but she's made nearly a hundred that I saw on Empire so that's more of an anecdotal comment than anything else. Here's a list of the movies, directors, and people she worked with in the various scenes, noting again that the sex was rarely as passionate as I prefer. If you like quantity and count her as inspirational to your self-pleasuring moments, you're going to like the scenes just fine:
Scene One: Fallen Angel: D-Antonio Adamo: Julie Silver, Bettina, Jessica May, Julia Taylor, Sandra Russo, David Perry, Franco Trentalance, Gabriel Montoya, Remigio Zampa,
Scene Two: Coconut Holiday: D-Alessandro Del Mar: Julie Silver, Sara Blue, George Uhl, Greg Centauro, Philippe Dean,
Scene Three: Trust No One: D-Susi Medusa Gottardi: Julie Silver, Sabrina Black,
Scene Four: Theatre of Lust: D- Susi Medusa Gottardi: Julie Silver, Gabriel Montoya,
Scene Five: Private XXX #16: D-Tom Herold: Julie Silver, Jennifer, Big George,
Scene Six: Girls Night Out: D-Tom Herold: Julie Silver, Bob, Richard Langin,
Scene One: Ocean Dream: D-Alessandro Del Mar: Julie Silver, Greg Centauro,
Scene Two: Girls Night Out: D-Tom Herold: Julie Silver, Robert Rosenberg,
Scene Three: Trust No One: D-Susi Medusa Gottardi: Julie Silver, Sarah O'Neal, Sara Blue, Franco Trentalance,
Scene Four: Theatre of Lust: D- Susi Medusa Gottardi: Julie Silver, Jessica May, Franco Trentalance,
Scene Five: Ocean Dream: D-Alessandro Del Mar: Julie Silver, Luisa De Marco,
Scene Six: Exclusive Scene: D-Little Al: Julie Silver, Kevin Long,
Summary: The Private Life of Julie Silver was a title that I thought had a lot of fuck for the buck but it replaced quality with quantity. The extras were far weaker than the average title in the series, something I knew would happen as Private ran out of gals with a larger body of work with them, and even the production qualities varied more than they should have since there was less to pick from. Still, Julie is an attractive gal and Private's stash of scenes with her in them was probably bigger than anyone else she's worked for in the last few years. I'd suggest Private take a break from the series until they build up a few more performers like they used to do but my understanding is that they prefer to freelance their women more often so that may not even work out. I'm going to rate this one as a Rent It for anyone into the usual mode of Private sex although fans of Julie Silver will either have all of her previously released scenes or find this a great value in their stead.
