Cast: Eva Angelina, Randy Spears, Candy Manson, Tommy Gunn, Shy Love, Reno, Katie Morgan, Rita Faltoyano, Evan Stone; and Kelli Tyler (bonus scene only)
Non-sex roles: Cash Markman, Steve Austin, Cheyanne Hunter, Gigi, Slick Rhodes (movie cameos not included)
Length: 94.5 minutes
Date of Production: 4/18/2006
Extra's: For most people, the bonus scene from What's A Girl Gotta Do? between Rita Faltoyano, Kelli Tyler, and Randy Spears will be the best extra as it lasted 22.5 minutes and had some great action as described below. For me, the short Behind the Scenes of Love Is Blue by Captain Bob lasting just over 10 minutes was the best extra since it gave the cast and crew a chance to have more sex and goof off on the sets of the movie. There was also two promotional reels (from 2005 and 2006), photogalleries and star galleries to enjoy, DVD ROM materials like Wicked Awards and Nominations, company profile, casino game, and desktops, a DVD catalog, some spam, and trailers to shows like Fuck, The Visitors, Eternity, Camp Cuddly Pines, Hook Ups, Curse Eternal, and others that haven't been released yet. Lastly, the box for the show was very appealing cardboard slipcase with a true double sided cover for the DVD.

Audio/Video Quality: Love Is Blue was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Cash Markman for Wicked Pictures. The lighting was solid, keeping the grain and video noise at bay. The composition of the camera angles was such that it did manage to enhance the look of the performers but the scenes were so short that all the camera tricks in the world couldn't really save this as a stroke flick. The editing was fair and there were no observed compression artifacts. The audio was presented with numerous choices, the primary one being a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English track that was very heavy on the music (and seemed to use dubbed loops for some of the vocals). There were also 2.0 Dolby Digital tracks with Spanish, German, Italian, Greek, and French available for those who care but the dubbing seemed off on the Spanish track to me (and I don't have a working knowledge of the other languages but they were not as well handled as the primary track on a few levels). It was basic with no separation or major dynamic range but you don't expect much from this type of disposable flick.
Body of Review: Cash Markman is one of those directors that can handle comedy fairly well so every once in awhile he uses his talents for a release by Wicked Pictures. The result is typically a small little fluff flick that everyone seems to like as a couples movie, neither challenging anyone involved or costing much to make (as some of the Jonathan Morgan movies tend to do these days). The latest such movie by the director is Love Is Blue, a mockumentary of the social life of male lead Randy Spears as he tries to find love in all the right places (apparently forgetting his happily married status of many years). The idea for the movie came to the director out of an offhand comment Randy once made to him on a set, and it was a cute flick with some decent humor between the five short sex scenes. Here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used in all the scenes:
Scene One: First Comes Love: Eva Angelina, the busty brunette hotty, was up first in bed wearing a pink bikini underwear outfit that barely covered her great physique, kissing Randy Spears as part of a scene. He nestled between those breasts of hers before tasting her crotch, getting a short but sweet blowjob in return. She was actively riding him vaginally but the scene barely got started when it finished up and he popped on her abdomen. They made a nice pair with some chemistry but weren't allowed to work it much before closing out the scene.
Scene Two: With Friends Like These: Candy Manson, a gal with huge breasts and light hair, was up next in bed with muscular Tommy Gunn. The pair were upset with Randy, their neighbor, and wanted to show him that they had some tricks of their own as they made noisy sex in their bed. She titty fucked him and sucked him off with him reciprocating before the vaginal boning. When she was on top of him, she was an active rider but most of the short scene had him doing all of the work, weakening it for me. It ended when he rubbed out a titty pop but it was a purely mechanical ride by the duo.
Scene Three: Randy Gets An Idea: Shy Love, a curvy brunette with a lean figure, was up next on a couch with hairy Reno. She wore a neon pink dress that really showed off her figure well but it didn't last long as she was stripping it off in no time to give him better access to her private parts. She slobbed his knob with a happy sort of glee that was truncated only by the over use of close ups, deepthroating him as she worked him over orally. He snacked on her a little too but they were screwing fairly quickly with her showing some action as long as she was on top. The pop went to the mouth but three penetrative positions weren't enough to show her inherent talents.
Scene Four: Desperation Take 3: Katie Morgan, the hotty on the front DVD cover, played a gal at a speed dating place looking for a guy between the ages of 35 and 45 but bonded with Randy Spears all the same. Her sweater didn't last long when they went back to her place, revealing her implanted hooters for him to suck. He also diddled her pussy before eating it and gave him one of the best hummers of the movie in bed before the pair started banging vaginally. I really liked her squeaky voice as she purred during the penetration, moving to some foot fetish stuff for those of you it appeals to. The scene ended when he popped on her foot, yet another couples oriented scene for the fans to enjoy.
Scene Five: The Final Straw: Rita Faltoyano, the gorgeous starlet known for her incredible sexual skills and looks, was up last as she took care of the mighty Evan Stone on a porn shoot. Both gave each other some powerful head but I've seen each given more time to warm up in the past and the scene ended up like all the others in terms of being too short to work all that well for a jaded old porn hound like me. The living room setting wasn't bad and she rode him better than any of the rest of the cast in terms of energy and chemistry so as a primer for those new to porn, this scene might be a good place to start before moving on to some of the ball draining stuff these two have been in previously. It ended with a facial and her stroking him lightly; him wishing her well on her dinner date with Randy (though his shirt from Curse Eternal was probably getting a bit smelly by this time).
Bonus Scene: What's A Girl Gotta Do?: Rita Faltoyano, and Kelli Tyler were joined by Randy Spears this time after they tossed him down on the bed and pretty much forced their way with him (I should be so lucky!). I honestly thought this scene would have anal in it but it didn't as the two gals competed in a contest to see who was better sexually. In my book, Rita won out but I'll admit to being biased in her favor as a long time fan. Kelli was also talented with both gals giving (and receiving) oral before taking Randy's penis like the champions they were. There was some taste testing but in all, it was a couples friendly version of the scene it "should have" been."
Summary: Love Is Blue wasn't the best title I've ever watched by director Cash Markman coming from the hallowed halls of Wicked Pictures but it was cute enough for a rating of Rent It. In short, the ladies were great, the technical values solid, and the limited extras didn't weaken the DVD all that much but the problem with Love Is Blue for me was the shortness of the scenes and limited amounts of fuck for the buck. I like the basic ideas at work here and the cast was fine but the limitations of the scenes reminded me of why they call titles like this as "feature formula porn". I thought the inclusion of clips from Sex Trek and Play With Fire were nice additions, it's a shame that companies don't share more or at least make it reasonably cost effective to do so, but this wasn't a compilation so they really didn't add much to the movie here.
