Audio/Video Quality: Hellcats 12 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Joey Silvera for distribution by Evil Angel. Recent advances in how he takes care of business have truncated the former way he handled matters (one of the problems with earlier volumes in some of Joey's series has been various technical limitations like lots of grain, video noise, poor camera angles, and compression artifacts and they were all present here too but in far less amounts thanks to Joey's paying attention of late), giving the viewer a decent picture to appreciate. There was some grain due to some of the lighting being off and some noise in a few spots but there were no compression artifacts to be seen and even some of the fleshtones looked more accurate than usual too. The composition of the shots was usually flattering to the women although much of that would still be an artistic call on my part so I can safely say that the overall visual aspects of the movie were solid. Like many of the director's at Evil Angel, Joey seems to prefer concentrating on capturing the raw energy over giving the viewer Wal-Mart lighting (harsh, flat, and plentiful) so your mileage may vary but the scenes generally looked good. The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio was presented in the usual stereo English but there wasn't any significant dynamic range or separation between the channels. The voices were sometimes hollow but like seeing the occasional shadow in the movie, this is to be expected in order to preserve the nearly realistic manner in which the scenes took place.

Body of Review: Joey Silvera is the most versatile director at Evil Angel these days, shooting a wide array of genres that cater to all sorts of perversions. He likes to try new things and one of his most popular series is focused on relative newcomers, the latest volume being the subject of today's review of Hellcats 12. I rated Hellcats 12 as Recommended like I did for Hellcats 11 since it had a lot to offer but the rough edges and a couple of performances fell a bit flat.
