Audio/Video Quality: Evil Vault 3 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Joey Silvera for distribution by Evil Angel. Thanks in large part to decent lighting and a relatively limited amount of moving around with the camera, there was little grain or video noise in the movie, no compression artifacts to be seen (the bitrate hovering around 2.5 Mbps) and even some of the fleshtones looked more accurate than usual here. The composition of the shots was usually flattering to the women although much of that would still be an artistic call on my part so I can safely say that the overall visual aspects of the movie were solid. Like many of the director's at Evil Angel, Joey seems to prefer concentrating on capturing the raw energy over giving the viewer Wal-Mart lighting (harsh, flat, and plentiful) most of the time but he apparently made an exception this time to give some of us what we prefer. The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio (at 192 Kbps) was presented in the usual stereo English but there wasn't any significant dynamic range or separation between the channels. The voices were sometimes hollow but like seeing the occasional shadow in the movie, this is to be expected in order to preserve the nearly realistic manner in which the scenes took place.

Body of Review: Joey Silvera has long been a topic of discussion among some of my friends; a few of whom think he's a genius that can do no wrong and others that suggest his more outlandish movies jumped the shark years ago. His work at Evil Angel has often showed some high quality mixed in with weaker scenes, the basis in part of his "Vault" series I last reviewed with Evil Vault 2. The idea of the series is to present some of the many scenes that Joey shot but never used for various reasons, offering up a collection of misfit scenes that were usually pretty good or better. Well, the latest in the series is now out with Evil Vault 3: Special Extended Set, and the sheer length of the show alone should be enough to give you pause as five hour long gonzo epics are still fairly uncommon. If you like gonzo women like the ones plastered on the cover, you'll find this worth checking out too. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:
Scene One: Julea London, the lean gal on the middle of the right hand side of the front cover, Joey, the cuter gal on the middle of the left hand side of the front cover, Houstonian Jack Venice, and moper Trent Tesoro, were up first as the gals gave each other some lesbian loving by the stairs inside the house. Georgia's ample sample has long appealed to me and I forgot that her last name "X" was in use before her common porn name before seeing the scene. The ladies sucked face a little before exploring other body parts, Delilah appearing to thoroughly enjoy herself but enjoying the long black cock even more as she sucked it clean. Georgia was not as orally fluent, showing a modicum of skill but paling compared to Delilah's oral onslaught. The lesbian sex was the most prevalent throughout the scene though and the ending facial as worked out by Karina seemed to be top notch; ending the first disc (the second disc had more scenes but shorter scenes).
Scene Five: Allie Sin, the redhead with the star tattoos on the lower right hand corner of the front cover, was up next with a suited Tyler Knight and slacker Trent Tesoro. She looked very cute here and made Trent work harder for it since she had requested they dress up but her clothing did not last long as both men pawed at her; showing particular attention to her large breasts and sweet ass. The oral and vaginal sex were the dominant action though and it wasn't a bad scene to begin the second disc.

She had a weird accent but claimed to come from Las Vegas and I'm sure she appreciated Sledge Hammer and Johnny "Bad Bob" Thrust, as she smoked her cigarettes to get Bob excited. The levels of fuck for the buck, strokability, and replay value were enough to score a rating of Recommended for Evil Vault 3: Special Extended Set, the same as Evil Vault 2 before it. The quality of the scenes may not have been the best but the quantity made up for a lot of things so check it out.
