For those of you that pay attention, I have been a huge fan of Jessica Drake over the years, long before she went to work for one of my favorite feature producers, Wicked Pictures, and long before she starred in one of the best movies of the year, Fallen, that is up for numerous AVN awards. This said, I was interested in a little sex "novelty" that crossed my path called the 5-Speed G-Spot as it pictured the lovely lass in California Exotics Wicked Stimulator line up. From past experience, I know that lovely Jessica probably had no input to the design of the toy, nor did the creative team at Wicked provide schematics but it struck me that I should pick it off the Xcritic pick list to review out of loyalty alone, if not curiosity over what kind of device it was.

Well, in practical terms, it could be used on males or females given the size of the penetrative portion of the device which provides about 4" to insert in either pussy or ass. Attached to the "head" as it were, is a 16" cord that was far too short given the realities of the bedroom antics I engage in, all leading up to a handheld unit about the same length as the head and even accented in a pink color for the fashion conscious. There is an off/on button as well as a "speed" button with the requisite five settings, the control unit holding two AA batteries to power the device.
The bed testing took place over a few sessions since the toy came in with a number of larger, more expensive toys of interest this time of the year, the inexpensive nature of the machine clearly marked as being "Made in China" on the box. Of interest was the lack of a "phthalate free" notice so it may well be harmful to your health, albeit not in as immediate manner as some activists might lead you to believe given recent Congressional hearings. The colorful box also stated that it was "curved just right" though for such a short toy, the slight curve struck me as ineffective for providing true G-spot sensations.
Okay, it took very few seconds to realize that the level of vibrations were so low that all but the highest of settings would be a waste of time for most women (or men, if used that way) and given that the initial testing took place after some heavy duty hitters were used, I felt it only fair to give it a second chance (and a third as it happened). Neither of the follow up tests proved to boost the worthiness of the toy in our expectations, Nadine shaking her head when asked to come up with a single situation this would prevail over anything else we had tested (even considering price range).
On top of that, the device is not waterproof so extra care had to be had in washing it or even using it in bed, had the flood of juices from other toys been left to impact the results. The batteries did manage to last a long time in subsequent tests but the problem with that is because it was due to the limited vibrations from the hard plastic toy so we came to the conclusion that it merited a Skip It as an overall rating. The best I can tell you is that it might be of some use to those that have never tried anything better from California Exotics but I'd pass if I were you given how many better devices are on the market.
