The metal tin with viewing window it comes in, makes this an excellent gift choice. I opened the tin and removed my new Minuet. It's a powder blue and I actually like the color. It measures 8" in total length with about 6 1/4" being insertable. The control is situated at the base of the toy and is a button. One press, low, another medium, another high, one more and it turns off. The only problem I have with the button is that it's situated at the tip of a point, so it's incredibly easy to accidentally change settings. The base is made of plastic that has a rubber coat feel to it while the shaft of the toy is made of phthalates free TPR.

Both silicone and water based lubricants are safe for use. This toy takes 2 AA batteries. The bottom screws off and they have a holder that slips inside. I actually like this feature as I've had two previous Evolved vibrators die when they were the simple insert batteries, screw on caps (The connections went bad). The tip of this toy is 4" in diameter, though it does get closer to 4 1/2" towards the base. Onto the Bed Test! The toy is very soft and actually bends quite well right in the middle. It's vibrating is positioned in the tip, which is where I prefer it. While it didn't have enough of a curve for g-spot stimulation, it was great for thrusting. It's shaft has very large ribs which stimulate very well. The vibration carries well throughout the toy and when you use something on your clitoris while thrusting this, it makes for one memorable orgasm. While this toy claims to be "maximum intensity with minimum noise", the intensity is good, but the toy can be heard through a closed door on it's highest setting. I took the Minuet int the shower with me a few times and the O-ring proved to be reliable. I was both pleased and surprised to find that no water did leak into the Minuet's battery compartment.
