One of the things I notice with sex toy reviews all over the net is how much snobbery takes place when it comes to brand names and materials. One well known blogger absolutely dismisses the idea that any sex toy can be appreciated unless it is made out of glass or high grade silicone while others are so much up the ass of a couple of companies that I wonder how much affiliate money they are getting (truly, seeing reviews for the same toy made presumably in the same company in China off the same assembly line getting wildly different reviews, when pointed out, the answer was that she thought the one costing twice as much "was better" without being able to articulate why). As a down and dirty guy, results are pretty much what I care about and I freely admit to factoring in price as important when considering relative value, the difference being I like low price and don't automatically assume a higher price translates into a superior product as you will find elsewhere. Take the Hustler Cat & Mouse for example.

The Cat & Mouse is a simple bullet vibrator, made in China, out of phthalate free material, using three AAA batteries to power it. The 2.5" hard plastic bullet is connected to a controlling device that is shaped just like a computer mouse (tricky play on words there by Hustler, yes?) via a cord about three feet in length with a fly wheel controller as if the mouse came from an Apple computer. Mine was a plum colored toy, men would call it purple, and there was an LED inside by the bottom near the Hustler logo that would change colors (and serve as a night light in a pinch, it was that bright).
When I first obtaned the sexual novelty, I checked out the price online and found it easily enough for under $20, my first impression was that Nadine would hate it. Needless to say, I plugged in the batteries, noted to her that it was not water proof, and she was happy for the better part of an hour rubbing it all over herself. The bullet motor was a lot stronger than expected and as a simple device, it was easy enough to wipe clean, just be careful to watch the spot where the connecting cord attaches. As simple as it was, it was also powerful and has lasted through a week of abuse (including a drop onto the slate floor and overzealous cleaning), leading Nadine to suggest that in terms of fuck for the buck, it merited a rating of Highly Recommended.
