Chanel Preston and Skin Diamond
Audio/Video Quality: Pretty In Pink was presented in an crisp 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Chris Streams for Jules Jordan Video as presented in the MPEG-2 format so common to standard definition titles (with 480 resolution). The lighting was consistently solid, generally limiting the grain and other visual flaws in the open settings of the house, no scenes going far outside the box in terms of centering on dark rooms this time. There were no compression artifacts (the bitrate hovering in the 3.8 Mbps range most of the time I paid any attention to it) but the fleshtones were not always what I expected them to be, making this one visually decent for me and while not the best I've seen from Chris in the past, certainly better than many of his peers. I did notice the company watermark in the lower right hand corner this time, something typically reserved for the lesser companies but given the times, not surprising. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) was a bit more basic with no separation or major dynamic range but I could always hear what was said and the music didn't interfere with my viewing pleasure. The music dominated during the tease sequences and fans may find this a marked change for the director from most of his works to date.

Body of Review: Chris Streams has been a favorite director for me since before I even knew his name (when he shot some of the best “Shane’s World” titles uncredited) but until he started working for Jules Jordan Video, he really never seemed to have enough product control to consistently make winners regardless of his home. Now that he has more say, the economic times make it tougher to find the very best talent, the talent pool certainly not what it once was to begin with. His latest to make it my way is a title called Pretty In Pink, a set of five lesbian scenes using a variety of toys (including some of the Evolved Novelty line I used to review). Knowing Chris, I went into watching the movie with the belief that it would not be just another rug munch fest of lipstick lesbians doing “gay for pay” but without some kind of hook, would he impress me with his cunning array of stunts (read between the lines)? In favor of the flick was a cast including Chanel Preston, Sophia Santi, Kristina Rose, Lexi Belle, and cutie Gracie Glam (among others) but again, would it be enough to satisfy? Here’s a very brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that obviously no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Jana Jordan and Adriana Sephora, the two lovely blondes seen on the upper left hand of the front cover, were up first to establish the parameters of the project. They pranced about by the pool’s waterfall in animal print bikinis, tasting each other’s boobs a little and then leading one another off to the couch in the house nearby. They pawed each other and did all the usual oral, some playfulness enhancing it but moving too quickly into the use of toys for my tastes. There was some fingering too but the ending came too abruptly with a kiss.
Kristina Rose and Asa Akira
Scene Two: Chanel Preston and Skin Diamond, the duo seen on the upper right hand corner of the cover, were next. They were dressed up in sleek outfits that showed off their respective assets, my admittedly focused appreciation for Chanel causing me to care more about her than Skin. Chanel’s desirability aside, Skin liked the taste of her shaven snatch as much as Chanel liked fingering her newfound friend’s ass, the toys coming into play just as their chemistry levels were being established. Both ladies did anal with toys and they were okay at it but the scene was just too mechanical to appreciate more than a few times for me.
Scene Three: Sophia Santi and Angelina Valentine, the BDSM brunette babes seen on the lower right hand corner of the front cover, were up next. Sophia was initially in the slave role and despite her expansive tattoo on her back, she still had the allure that earned her a prime contract and Penthouse recognition. She was in a large cage and toyed with by Angelina, the footage of them both inside just too cramped to fully appreciate the circumstances. Sophia was the more believably oral of the two, eating pussy and relishing ass like she was truly into it while her partner was not as convincing. On the other hand, Sophia was not as realistic when she reversed roles either, the toy use again coming too quickly and interrupting the flow of the action. Sophia still had a world class ass but it just didn’t help as much this time.
Scene Four: Gracie Glam and Lexi Belle, the youth contingent seen on the lower left hand corner of the front cover, were up next as they danced in their cover lingerie on and around the stairs. Lexi has long been a favored hotty and Gracie has earned continued praise from many of my associates for the sexy manner in which she embraces her roles so well. They teased a little and helped remove each other’s clothing, some kissing and caressing leading to rug munching and fingering before the toys were deployed. Their sense of playfulness and enthusiasm made this a winner of a scene overall and whatever minor objections I might have to the way it was shot (looked like a single take with a single camera all too often), I’d be lying if I said I did not believe they both got off a few times. Lexi eating out Gracie’s ass while Gracie was on her stomach was heady stuff, the reciprocation nearly as powerful for stroke fodder. The toys were okay here and fit in well enough but they could have tossed them aside and been just as well off (at getting off).
Scene Five: Asa Akira and Kristina Rose, the two lovely ladies featured on the center of the front cover, were up last as they showed just why they are currently two of the most popular performers in the porn industry. They were girlishly playing on a bed full of garish clothing, posing for pictures as they tried on outfits one might have to be colorblind to appreciate. Their enthusiasm for the play aspects was enough to generate some boner love and they transitioned into toys and going down on each other in a matter of fact way that did not seemed forced or scripted, the anal aspects of the tryst continuing throughout the rest of the lengthy scene. Both of the ladies had their own strengths and used them accordingly, Kristina my favorite between them but Asa undeniably appealing too.
Summary: Pretty In Pink by director Chris Streams for Jules Jordan Video was a strokable venture displaying some replay value thanks to a great cast of ladies but it really did not offer as much variation as I wanted and despite the solid casting, the performances ranged from very good to going through the motions so I rated it as a light Recommended. The tease was short in most cases and the gals spent too much time mugging for the cameras instead of just letting go to have a good time but I cannot deny the appeal of the trysts where things worked out for the better. In short then, Pretty In Pink will suffice to provide some spank bank fodder for one’s stroking needs if you want some lesbian loving but the lack of the usual genetic juice donors unleashing wads of population pudding in all the right places really didn’t hurt this one all that much.
