Preview Color comes back! There hasn't been a woman of color in this series since Skin Diamond and Sincerre Lemore burned up the sheets in Lesbian Hitchhiker 3. Up-and-comer Aria Salazar's feature made this a must-review title. Checking on the previous reviews here shows mixed takes ranging from rent-it to highly recommended. It's worth noting that this series was created by Nica Noelle, who directed the first four editions, but is no longer involved. Dana Vespoli took over, and performed in, volume 5 and James Avalon takes the directorial reins for part 6. I was never much for math, but 7 names in the credits divided by 4 one-on-one scenes equals someone is seen twice. Is it either of the covergirls? No. Is it AVN's MILF/Cougar performer of the year? No. It's Kendra Lust, maybe it's a Canadian thing.
The basic set-up for the series is Cougar lesbians happening upon young, often hitchhiking (imagine that), cuties and offering rides, or other assistance and always delivering Sapphic seduction. In this time out, Jessie, Arria, Avril, and Dillion are on a pre-college road trip when their truck breaks down in the middle of nowhere.
The View Arria and Jessie walk off to look for help, while Avril and Dillion stay with the vehicle. Arria is picked up by Kendra who takes her home for some couch sex. [I'm one of those snobs who likes sex on beds.] This scene was a big disappointment for me. Sure, the eye candy angle was covered; Kendra Lust is nice looking 30ish brunette, thin with not too big fake boobs, and an ass that makes the complete absence of interracial titles in her filmography mystifying. Whether she's going by Bambi Wolfe, Aria Arial or Arria Salazar that young Latina is ridiculously gorgeous with a GND body and a lingering hint of that new to the industry innocence. Unfortunately, the action between them never got past a simmer. They did all the compulsory lesbian moves, albeit with more clit rubbing than tongue or finger penetration. The obvious lack of chemistry between the ladies caused this scene to fall flat.
Elsewhere, Tanya Tate has offered to help a wandering JessieAndrews. (I had never heard of her, but Tanya is quite the import star and mogul.) Jessie isn't very concerned about getting help for her friends. She is more interested in doing what pleases her. And Tanya's maturity means she sure can please. Jessie sports a mini-bush that gets some attention from her partner. This scene is the best because of the chemistry between the performers, confirmed by their body language in the BTS segment. Both are experienced girl-lovers, and it shows. The contrasting body types, Tanya, the typical porn looking blonde, and a petite, girlish figure on Jessie, added to the appeal. A nice bit of art imitating life pops up when Tanya tells Jessie she runs a PR firm. Google Star Factory PR to see for yourself.
While Arria is sleeping off her cum-drunkenness, Kendra's partner, Julia Ann, arrives to find the evidence of infidelity on her couch, and Kendra has to kiss and make up for her mistake. They do more than kiss. This is a better scene for Kendra, as she allows Julia to drive the action, instead of having to coach another newbie. This was the number two scene for me, due to Julia's performance and a less staged feel.
Avril Hall & Dillion Harper chose to stay with the vehicle and are bored. It has taken this long to notice they are using character names (to which I paid NO attention) instead of their porn names. They decide to hop into the truck's crew cab and relieve their boredom. Here is where I say two women, even as petite as these two are, can't make sexy in the cramped cab of a pickup. I have no idea why they didn't throw a blanket in the truck's bed and do their business there. They cerainly gave it a go, but I felt cramped in my livingroom while watching them bend and maneuver around such a small space. The camera angles were necessarily restricted, and along with the other concerns, led to a disappointing scene.
Final Thoughts/Review Watching as a Cougar/Kitten fan, I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. There are two older/younger pairings, a young/young and a Milf/Milf duo. Some of the pairings could have been switched to better effect; AVN top momma, Julia Ann should have been with the least experienced youngster (Aria), and relative newbie, Kendra Lust could have done better with Jessie; or maybe she should stick to straight. The body language in the BTS segment was revealing of who is G4P and who had fun.
I settle on a Rent It recommendation, for the second and third scenes, the solid production value and the eye candy on display. The dramatic elements added little to the movie's entertainment value, really only working well in (gasp) the 2nd and 3rd scenes. Replay value is minimal, as I would only watch the those two scenes again; they might hold some appeal for couples. This series needs a reboot. They need to get a writer and/or director to take ownership and commit to at least 3 editions. Maybe a switch from feature presentation to vignettes in which all the young girls are actually hitchhiking (a lot to ask, I know) and the exposition takes place in the car on the way to wherever.
