Body of Review: How many of us have had roommates that were not quite right in the head? How about roommates that seemed to make Oscar Madison look like a neat nut? Well, I have had both and let me tell you something: living alone is greatly preferred. This all leads us to the new release by Simon Wolf, Roommate From Hell. In the movie, Aurora Snow breaks up with her supposedly cheating boyfriend and searches for another roommate-one that respects her rules. Yes, it's tough to imagine the sexually gifted Ms. Snow as being a tight ass (well, at least in regards to her enforcing strict rules to live by) but that makes this one all the more fun. She gets to enjoy a few roommates who just aren't worth the trouble until a couple, played by Herschel and Jade, seem to fit right in. Something doesn't quite seem right with them too but the money's good and times are tough. The story is minimal for those who want just sex and like most recent Simon Wolf movies, the sex makes up the vast majority of the screen time so you won't waste lots of batteries on fast forward fodder. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action:
Scene One: Ashley and Sharon took on Chris in the living room. BJ, oral to her, reverse cowgirl, anal and a pop shot. The sex was pretty well done and for those who like responsible companies, kudos' to SWO for using condoms.
Scene Two: Holly and Joel had a dinner time snack with each other. The sex included a BJ, oral to her, missionary, reverse cowgirl, anal and a pop shot. Another warm scene with some real chemistry.
Scene Three: The scene started out with Aurora masturbating but that ends when April and Joey start getting frisky. I thought it was cute that Aurora, playing a repressed gal, was watching a Simon Wolf video (shame on her for not watching a dvd which had Evan Stone and Ava Vincent) release, For Women Only. It's a good video but probably more than her character would've been able to handle in real life. In any case, April and Joey did: BJ, oral to her, missionary, cowgirl, doggy and a pop shot. I would've preferred Aurora join them but that wouldn't have fit the character she played.
Scene Four: Jade gave Herschel a BJ. She's a talented young gal but I would've liked to have seen more of her here. Sniff...
Scene Five: Luckily, Aurora shared my sentiments and decided to get some Jade nookie too. The two had fun-mostly oral with some toys being used as well. A bit tame for Aurora but seeing her in action caused me to forget about whatever limitations the scene had. Yum!
Scene Six: Wanda and Herschel had a little scene too. It included a BJ, oral to her, 69, reverse cowgirl, missionary, and a pop shot. I know I sometimes goof on the guy and his spotted penis but when given a chance he can act (this wasn't his best acting job though) and he does seem to be able to satisfy the ladies pretty well for an old guy. Not a bad scene at all and I'll be looking for more of her work in the future.
Scene Seven: Aurora and Chris, having made up (sort of), have a warm scene together that included a BJ, oral to her, missionary, reverse cowgirl, doggy and a pop shot. I wish she had been in more sex scenes but there is a logic to using a performer sparingly in an effort to build the anticipation a bit.
Summary: I liked the feature and think most people will as well. The story itself was fairly brief and the cameo by Simon himself (who also wrote the screenplay) was cute. I think a lot of fans would've liked the dvd to have a feature where they could watch all the sex without the story (a few companies have been experimenting with this idea to varying degrees of success) since after the first viewing, most fans will skip the story stuff. Otherwise, I wondered where the Behind the Scenes feature went (the credits allude to it by listing Don Fischer as the BTS Videographer) since that has always been a great extra on Simon Wolf's movies. Overall, I think there was a lot of fuck for your buck with a great looking female cast, good sexual activity (and a variety of it), and above average production values. To sum it up: another swell Simon Wolf release.
