Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that porn is known for. The picture looked slightly faded but most of the time was superior to Stanley's usual brand of quality. There was grain, video noise, and some minor lighting issues but it was a couple of steps up from the director's usual releases (a good thing, I assure you). I didn't see any compression artifacts and the moiré was limited. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 stereo English and aside from some levels that were a bit low (vocals), it wasn't bad. The music was slightly distorted but some of that seemed to be an artistic direction more than incompetence.

Body of Review: Vivid is known for providing some pretty basic porn these days. That's not a bad thing, no matter what you've been told by the jaded few loudmouths of the world, just a provable fact. If you're looking for circus act sex, you'll want to look elsewhere but many who are dabbling in porn will feel more comfortable with a basic style of porn like Vivid makes. One of their routine directors is a guy known as David Stanley. While not one of the company's premium directors, he takes control of a moderate number of releases from the company, including the latest, Savanna Takes Control. The movie started off by Savanna firing the director of a porn who tried to make "art", in favor of a straightforward fuck flick (Eric was humorous in the role). David Stanley himself had a role as an effeminate wussy who does as he's told, and the movie goes to a basic white room with a mattress setting (i.e.: no frills). If this sounds like what you want to see, and make no mistake about it, Savanna is a hotty, read the following breakdown of the scenes:

Scene One: Savanna, looking every bit as good as she did in January, had a scene in a plain white room with Julian. She started off by playing with his large penis and wearing sexy underwear. Rather than go down on her first, he boned her a bit in several positions. She tasted herself off of his juiced up cock and then rode him some more before she took anal action from him. It ended when he jerked out a load onto her face.

Scene Two: Brooke, a cute new gal in porn, took care of veteran stud Kurt in the white room on the mattress. She blew him, showing a bit of skill, using her hand to help add friction, and her breasts for a quit titty fuck before riding him in cowgirl style. They screwed in several positions and it ended when he rubbed out a load onto her breasts while she masturbated.

Scene Three: Sunrise, one of the hottest looking gals I've seen in a long time, and Savanna, had a lesbian scene in the now-infamous white room. They kissed, rubbed one another, and went down on each other to get themselves off. Savanna's bondage underwear was hot and it ended when they used a double headed dildo on one another.

Scene Four: Aria, dressed in hot green lingerie, pleased Kris on the mattress. She toyed with him a bit, teasing the head of his penis as though she might change her mind at any time, and then started attacking it orally as if it were her lifeline. They screwed in a few positions, much of the time making it look like she was screwing him (with his own penis) before he rubbed out a load onto her awaiting face.

Scene Five: Savanna, back on the mattress of love, took care of Mario, a guy that looks a lot like a younger Rocco. She snacked on his meat, savoring the taste for longer than usual, before he returned the favor (something that wasn't typical here). They boned in a few positions with some chemistry before going the anal route. He pulled out at the last moment and jerked off onto her abdomen and she licked it up.

Scene Six: Savanna, playing a teacher, gave Anthony an extra credit project consisting of him pleasuring her on the desk in front of the class. Her black outfit, matching lingerie, and glasses all contributed to the kind of school teacher look so many men find very appealing (I'm one of them). I thought the two had a fair amount of heat and chemistry going for them and that was something I really liked about the scene when I first saw it. Fans of anal sex will also enjoy the anal she took but it didn't last very long before he rubbed out a load onto her face.

Summary: I actually liked this one more than I should have, particularly Savanna's scenes, and I think it was worth a rating of Recommended although I'd have preferred to see more sex. The bonus scenes were also good and the extras added some value. For the most part, it was basic but I'm a fan of Savanna so adjust your own rating accordingly.
