Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the standard 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as expected. The picture had a bit of a soft focus to it and there was a bit of grain but I think that was done intentionally in order to give the movie an erotic feel. There was also some slow motion and artistic camera work but those familiar with Mr. Ninn's previous works will feel right at home, knowing what to expect. The audio was presented in stereo English with little separation between the channels. For the most part, it was clear since the cast didn't really speak during the feature much and the music was turned down to allow the cast's moans and groans to be heard. I saw no compression artifacts with a couple of viewings.

Body of Review: Recent developments in the porn world (the AIDS scare) have caused quite a panic, causing most responsible companies to stop production until it blows over (pun intended). Any time you have people sharing bodily fluids, be it saliva, semen, female ejaculate or whatever else is on the market, there is some level of danger. Even lesbian action has some danger to it as do the condom scenes that most responsible companies make. One type of porn that is not a danger in any real sense is the growingly popular masturbation movie. Watching some hotties play with themselves has always been fun to watch, although I'll admit that I like seeing more than that too. The latest release in this genre is Soloerotica 4 a show that had twenty women in solo scenes, with some fantasy element added to each one.

The scenes weren't long enough for my tastes but even the weakest of them had plenty of warmth in my opinion. The performers, in order from the chapter screens (not the order of appearance), were Mandy Bright, Jodie Moore, Isabella, Jessica James, Lonnie, Charlie Laine, Jana Cova, Justine, Violet Blue, Anais, Angel Cassidy, Dee, Sharon Wild, Nikita Denise, Katsumi, Penny Flame, Breanne, Venus, Victoria Zdrock, and Wanda Curtis. Each gal had their own setting, sometimes an airbrushed scene on a bed, other times on the steps of a huge mansion, and still other times something completely different. The variety factor was appealing, I just wish the scenes could have played out longer, even if there were fewer of them.

Those familiar with Michael Ninn's previous works for other companies will know whether or not they'll enjoy this one by virtue of his usual style. He employs slow motion, artistic camera angles and visual effects, as well as audio to present his performers in a very specific way. Only you can decide if his style works for your needs but as someone who has seen more porn than the majority of the world's people in the last few years, I think this was worth a rating of Highly Recommended for those who enjoy watching attractive ladies diddle themselves silly. Fans of Mr. Ninn will probably want to consider it even more worthy of their hard earned dollars since it follows the plan set forth by his style for years.

Summary: The best way to sum this one up is that the ladies were all given a glamour shots treatment and made to look their absolute best for the cameras. The special effects might have irritated me from time to time but the overall effect was pleasing to my eyes (and crotch). The gals showed all their goodies but never had to stoop so low as some of the circus act sex companies, a refreshing change given the number of crude movies on the market. I liked this one as much as Volume 3 and I think the market trend given all that has taken place recently will be to see more companies offer shows like this one. If they are even half as good, I'll welcome them with open arms. Soloerotica 4 was the dreamy type of porn that could get anyone, male or female, off in a heartbeat.
