Extra's: For most people, the best extras will be the two bonus scenes. The first was from Rawhide and was between Olivia Del Rio and Randy Spears. It was slow and erotic, although not enough to make me go buy a copy of the movie (I've never seen it). The other bonus scene was from Behind The Mask with Melody and Steven St. Croix. This was a pretty good scene and I liked it even more this time. I liked the 17 minute Behind the Scenes feature by Dan Curb better than the bonus scenes but that was due to the nature of it being content made for the specific DVD. There was also a photogallery and some trailers to round out the extras.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in non-anamorphic widescreen color was an approximate aspect ratio of 1.78:1. As with many other Adam & Eve productions that are filmed in High Definition wide screen format, it lacked the clarity and detail you'd expect. The lighting was purposefully low in order to give the soft-core audience the style of couples sex that has been the company's focus for years too. That meant the grain and video noise were worse than usual and the simulated film look hurt it even more. The audio was presented in stereo English but aside from the repetitious soundtrack, you'd never know there was any separation between the channels (and the vocals fell flat as often as not).

Body of Review: Adam & Eve have long been a company directing their efforts to give the couples market features that were slightly more hardcore than late night cable but far tamer than the usual porn you'll see advertised on the shelves of local video stores. For some of their directors, like Candida Royalle, that approach works because she's not trying to straddle the fence and be all things to all people but for others, like Roy Karch or Nicholas Steele, the results are decidedly uneven. In Mr. Steele's latest feature, Code Blue, the story is set on the crew of an EMT station. There are the usual stereotypes and the story was barebones to be sure. If you're a fan of this type of thing, read on to see if it will work for you and your significant other:

Scene One: Natalia, a cute brunette with a lean body, and Steven, a regular guy of sorts, had a romantic encounter after a dinner on a patio at night. They fondled one another and she went down on him before riding in his lap a bit. They changed positions a few times before he pulled out and jerked off on her stomach. Not exactly the most romantic way to end such a scene but for those who haven't watched a lot of porn, it was okay.

Scene Two: Brooke, a lean gal that looked good in a tank top with no bra, was hitting the punching bag when Lee walked in on her. Her heaving breasts must've impressed the massive Lee enough to do her since they dropped their clothes rather quickly. She gave him some decent head as he massaged her a bit and he was gentleman enough to go down on her in return. They screwed for a few minutes and it ended when he jerked his load onto her chest. It was a small load but he's been working a lot lately I'm told.

Scene Three: Dominica, the cute gal on the front DVD cover, and Cheyne, had a scene beside an ambulance during daylight hours. He snacked on her crotch and she gave him a hand-assisted blowjob in return. They then boned for a couple of minutes in a fairly slow fashion that seemed calculated to equate to an erotic liaison. They switched to anal sex afterwards and he rubbed out his load onto her abdomen to finish it up.

Scene Four: Lauren, a redhead with a lean body and all natural breasts, enjoyed Steven as the two made out beside a hot tub outdoors. They caressed and played with one another in a manner that actually seemed to work for me, invoking some chemistry and feeling that went beyond the mechanical nature of the other scenes. Her oral was too short and he skipped going down on her in favor of screwing her in reverse cowgirl. It ended with a pretty good-sized facial and I liked the scene.

Scene Five: Amber, a blonde with some nice curves, and Billy, one of the few performers here that looked like a real EMT, had a scene on a couch by a large picture window. When she went down on him, I was nearly screaming at the television to move the camera angle because the action was obscured by some flowers. It was almost as if the scene were taken from the cable version of the show as she then got in the way of the action. Don't get me wrong, I liked seeing her bent over and blowing him but as nice an ass as she had, it got in the way too much. The problem continued when he went down on her and the resulting sex was short too.

Scene Six: Dani, another cute redhead, and muscular Joey, had a scene at night on a couch. They did some oral on one another and then a slow session of screwing before she got into it all of a sudden and started riding him hard and wet. Had she displayed this much energy throughout the whole scene, it would've been a winner but it was good enough that he almost shot off inside her, spending his ammo on her waist instead.

Summary: I really wasn't impressed with the sex in most scenes and the mixed levels of chemistry between the cast but I tend to be less forgiving than the average consumer so take my rating of Skip It with a grain or two of salt. It wasn't a terrible movie for someone who has never seen porn before but it wasn't anything special either.
