Audio/Video Quality: The picture for both movies was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as expected since that was the original aspect ratio both were shot in. Sadly, gonzo footage from ten years ago looks even worse than some of the crud put out this year and the list of problems was endless. There was a lot of problems related to the poor lighting, including grain, video noise, moiré, and a bunch of shadows that were probably as good as could be expected back then. I understand the limitations of older material and you should too if you want to see older movies, especially older gonzo movies. The audio was presented in monaural English although a stereo signal appeared which was likely due to the remastering of the DVD format. The audio varied as much as the visuals but it wasn't as crucial to the fun.

Body of Review: Seymore Butts has been around for many years, a testament to the style of porn in relation to what the market likes to watch. While other companies have since caught up to the style this man perfected so long ago, back in his day, he was nearly as cutting edge as John "Buttman" Stagliano was, a major achievement given the market place of the past. His style would be to offer what amounts to a slice of life of a porn producer, a reality series of yesteryear, that is still fun to watch. If you like Seymore's more recent works, you'll likely love his older style, since it was way ahead of its time. In his most recent release, Seymore Butts' The Wacky Adventures of Seymore & Shane, Pure Play Media have put together two older movies, Seymore And Shane On The Loose! and Seymore And Shane Playing With Fire, onto a double disc compilation set. While I would've appreciated the two movies being clearly marked on the DVD case, I think most porn reviewers will remember the days of old when Seymore and Shane ruled as the royalty of gonzo, and these two shows influenced many a director afterwards. Disc One: Seymore And Shane On The Loose!: 1994:

Scene One: Seymore And Shane On The Loose!: 1994: Yvonne and Krista took advantage of Shane's hospitality on the morning of her departure for Canada with Seymore. Everyone gets in the spirit of the fun, between using a sex swing and the orally talented gals enjoying both giving and receiving, the scene was lots of fun. Shane and Seymore joined in a bit too as the couples switched around and screwed in many positions. The highlight for me was the over the top acting when the Sybian came into play (how fake can a gal's yelling et?) but the oral, straight and anal formula was still good here. It ended with some swallowing action, a thing many of you enjoy watching.

Scene Four: Seymore And Shane On The Loose!: 1994: Shane and Tiffany went down on Seymore in the fourth scene for this old release of his. I wish Pure Play would've just labeled the movie as such since it makes more sense to do so than pretend the release is something culled from many movies. The blowjob itself was as solid as I'd expect from these two talented ladies though; each giving some extra attention to their friend's penis as they saw fit, and the scene ended when Shane jerked him off to completion onto their mouths.

Scene Five: Seymore And Shane On The Loose!: 1994: Chrystal and TT were up next. They had a warm scene in the fire station where he gets a blowjob but there was pixelation (on purpose this time) to hide his identity.

You do get a lot of fuck for your buck, two movies for the price of one, but newer releases have more extreme sex for those who want it and better production values if you choose the right company's product. I'm going to be a sport and list this one as Recommended but keep in mind that it won't appeal to everyone.
