Extra's: The only decent extras was the 12 minute long bonus scene with Flower masturbating. She used a large glass dildo to impale her ass with and did some ATM action with it and her hand. If you like beefy butts, she's a gal you'll enjoy watching a whole lot of (and there was a whole lot to enjoy). The other extras were generic for the most part with a photogallery and some trailers to compliment the spam and biographies.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, the long time industry standard in porn. While the camera movement and angles were still kind of hit or miss, the lighting this time was far better than Seymore's average back then and I, for one, appreciated it. The fleshtones were accurate and the grain minimal even though the release is nearly five years old. The audio was kind of varied with minimal separation and limited dynamic range but the fun factor that Seymore is known for shined through in most of the scenes.

Body of Review: Seymore Butts is something of a legend to fans of anal sex. Before all the recent wave of anal queens and directors fixated on anal action, Seymore was one of the top ten directors of the gonzo genre. While some of his latest DVD releases by Pure Play Media have been weaker than others, a lot of them have been pretty solid too. One of the better such releases is Seymore Butts' Thighs Wide Open, also known as Seymore's 50th release. There was no central theme to this one, regardless of what you'll hear from other sources, and each of the four scenes was a stand-alone in that they had no linear theme to tie them together. The question some fans may have is: "Does this five year old release stand the test of time?" In short, I think it does due to the strength of the cast and the generally decent production values. Here's a look at the scenes by cast:

Scene One: What Are You Doing?: Bridgette, once the reigning anal queen of porn, had a scene in bed with Tyce. This was before she mutilated her chest with those horrible implants she currently sports. Ever the skilled performer, Tyce fingered and licked her to the point where she was willing to do anything he wanted and her oral skills were pretty solid here. For all the spots on his dick, old man Herschel was up to the challenge of handling this hotties, each of which was super attractive (if not quite as anally talented as Bridgette). Summary: I think Thighs Wide Open was worthy of being Recommended due to the attractive performers, the sexual energy and chemistry, as well as the better than average (for Seymore) picture presented here. Back in 1999, this must've been a major hit since much of the director's works have followed certain patterns in terms of quality. In any case, if you like anal sex and want to see gals pissing on one another, this is going to be made just for your tastes.
