Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 ratio color. The colors were sometimes a bit too saturated but aside from some minor grain and video noise, the show looked pretty good and never distracted from the sex taking place. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English but the use of the audio format was not really great since most of the sound came from the center channel. While this comes as no surprise, especially since the budget of most porn movies is so small, Digital Playground is world-renowned for being on the bleeding edge of technology and a number of fans appreciate their efforts.

Body of Review: One of the most popular comedy porn series on the market today is Jack's Playground. Director Robby D. formulated the series in order to experiment with the porn genre, providing some decent stabs at comedy and heated sex with the chance to parody various porn conventions with a wink and nod. The latest volume in the series I had the chance to watch was Jack's Playground 11: Specializing In Porno Workman's Compensation, and the premise this time was about a porn industry lawyer who focused on workman's compensation cases. Montel narrated the recap at the beginning but that was all he did since the theme was about Jack becoming more commercial. For those of you unfamiliar with the series, Robby plays a potential director of music videos that is always capturing the sexual exploits of those around him, with little regard to normal porn conventions (solo scenes are rare in a feature these days and he always tries to include a couple of them with new girls as one example). If you're looking for a refreshing change of pace in a market saturated by followers, you should take a look at Jack's Playground 11 but here's my take on it:

Scene One: Fallon, one of the cuter gals in porn today (sadly not on the front cover though), started off the sex by going down on Tyce. Those of you that enjoy old guys boning young hotties will really like the disparity of age here (he's probably old enough to be her father, if not grandfather) and he did keep up his end of the scene. They screwed after the oral and while they didn't exactly set the world afire, I liked the scene (and I see a lot more porn than average). I did notice that the camera spent a lot of time on close ups here so your mileage may vary if you don't enjoy that kind of thing.

Scene Two: Ashley Fires, the lean blonde featured on the front DVD cover, was up next. While her scene was more of a tease sequence that only showed her masturbating, I enjoyed watching it nearly as much as Fallon's scene previously. My only complaint is that Robby should've let her loose in order to get a lot more solid footage of her going at herself since it seemed too short for my tastes (and let's face it, the reason to watch is to give a guy enough time to finish himself off, something this scene didn't provide). I'll be looking for her in the future though to see if she lives up to her potential.

Scene Three: Ashley Blue, on the other hand, is a well established performer known as a fan favorite. She's now under contract elsewhere but in this scene with Joey, she proved why Robby snagged her one last time. She began by oiling her body up and then giving him some oral loving with a gusto that belied her innocent look. From there they did the obligatory straight but she also gave him a solo performance with a large dildo and her sweet ass before taking his moderate penis inside the back door. Like I said, there's a reason why people enjoy watching this gal and if you see this scene, you'll know what people have been talking about. Whew!

Scene Four: Nikki, the brunette on the front cover with the kicking curves, was up next in a solo scene. Those of you that know me also know that I'm partial to blondes but something about this gal really worked for me. I certainly would've appreciated seeing her with another gal or guy (preferably myself) but I think a director's cut of this scene would've gone a long way to making me happier too.

Scene Five: Jelena, an up and comer on the left side of the front DVD cover with a nice rack, and her friend Jamie, also a cutie with an ample chest, had a sort of tease scene with one another for Jack as they had him judge their breasts; comparing them to one another. They didn't really do much other than flash their chests, rub them together, and squeeze them a bit but I'm not going to lie and say the scene wasn't worth checking out. If you're a straight guy, you'll enjoy watching it as a tease for the harder stuff as much as hoping to see more of them in the future (perhaps part of the appeal of the series is in how it shows off gals that may or may not be back; depending on how well received they are here).

Scene Six: Elizabeth, a very lean brunette that I've seen all over the place, had the final scene this time. Let me start off by saying that I prefer gals with some curves so her waifish look didn't work for me but a bunch of my friend's have told me that tap her ass in a heartbeat, regardless of the consequences so maybe you'll like her more. Her scene was with Tyce and he did his usual amount of grunting and groaning as he got blown, planted it in her pussy and ass, and then sent his troops to her face with some ATM and PTM to boot. Mechanically, she was as good as any of the others here and I'm not going to rag on your personal tastes but if you've liked her previous work, you'll love her here just as she probably won't do a lot for those who, like me, haven't liked her all that much in the past.

Summary: Jack's Playground 11 is still Recommended (but only barely) based on the cast, the sex and the willingness by Robby to explore the boundaries of porn. Rather than follow a specific formula as other companies do, he tries to play around a bit, perhaps making us appreciate the gals more when they actually give it up by showing some hot new talent that (hopefully) will come back to set the screen afire. I wish some of the gals had more screen time, even those who just masturbated, since the running time was fairly short with scant extras to make up for it, but the series as a whole offers a change of pace that none of the other companies are willing to try (preferring to stick with the same old stuff too often rather than innovate). Without the star power of some previous volumes, Robby seemed freed up to try more innovation but the problem with any series is that it doesn't always work out. This volume will appeal to fans of the series more than make new ones but I hope Robby expands the concept more in the future in order to provide more fuck for the buck, and/or footage to appease those of us that like getting a full DVD.
