Extra's: By far, the best extra was the extra sex footage from the scenes. There was just over 19 minutes worth and it added some replay value to the DVD, even if it was cut out of the main scenes for a variety of reasons. Watching more of Katja, Mariesa and the most of the others can only be considered a good thing so I'm happy to report that the footage wasn't cut best left on the cutting room floor. The other extras included the obligatory photogallery, John Leslie biography, cast list, filmographies, John Leslie Blues Band commercial, and some trailers. Overall, the extras weren't all that great but the bonus footage made for a decent extra.
Note: There was no "19 minute bonus scene" as advertised on the front cover. The 19 minutes were all deleted footage from four of the scenes. I won't hammer the rating for false advertising but it was somewhat misleading and consumers have a right to know the truth.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as Evil Angel releases are known for. If you've seen any movie by John Leslie in the last five years, you'll know that he substitutes a stylish look for his movies in place of more traditional flat lighting. This means he seeks to accomplish a dark, mysterious look to his scenes, something that is either loved or hated depending on your personal tastes. I don't like it because of the grain, the compression artifacts, and the difficulty of seeing all the action but again, it's an artistic choice so you have to take my description with a grain or two of salt. His supporters would suggest that it's a better style than the "gyno-cam" lighting you'll get elsewhere but, like Drop Sex 2, it throws many viewers for a loop. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English with minimal separation but since vocals aren't a big part of the movie and the music is usually quite subdued, this isn't as big a factor as it would be in another type of porno. The sound effects were well done, hinting at various actions off screen, but this isn't an Alfred Hitchcock movie so they really aren't all that important unless you're trying to peer into Mr. Leslie's mind.

Body of Review: Evil Angel has long been a leader in gonzo porn, having established itself by virtue of owner/founder John Stagliano's obsession with the female behind but the company has a lot more to offer porn watchers than just generic gonzo anal play. Take, for instance, the works of John Leslie, a man who used to be one of the best actors in porn and later became one of its most stylish directors. Mr. Leslie has developed a sense of style unique in porn that encompasses both light AND shadow as well as the auditory experience as an integral part of the viewing experience. On a good day, that means he conveys a sense of mystery and eroticism with his movies although admittedly he has a few misfires too. His latest release for Evil Angel is Fresh Meat 18, the latest in his series designed around providing women fairly new to porn having a variety of sexual encounters that range from sublime to outlandishly wicked. This volume is much like some of the earlier volumes although it keeps the newness factor pretty handy too. If you're a fan of his work, there'll be no need to read the rest of this review but for those who are unfamiliar, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Katja, wearing the same red leather outfit she wore on the front DVD cover, walked down a darkened industrial hallway that was poorly lit, only to find Michael jerking off. Without a word, she bends over to please him with some tease footage and soon enough, she blew him like a champion. While Katja's oral skills are always pleasurable to watch, she does even better with the boning that shows her ability to ride a cock in all sorts of positions but look great while doing so. He spanked her a bit (sort of like how men will be spanking when they watch this scene) and continued on to give her some PTM with her sex. This being Katja, you had to know she'd take him inside her perfect ass and she did just that; showing a flair that transcends the sheer mechanics of the act. It ended with a facial but the heat and chemistry were undeniable and fans should check this one out (even though Leslie makes different porn, it's usually "good" porn too).

Scene Two: Mia, the blonde on the lower right side of the front DVD cover with the fleshy ass, Evelin, a gal with less junk in her trunk but an amazingly attractive face, Csoky and Thomas, had the next scene outdoors. The sex seemed less stylish than most of Leslie's current works so fans of traditional fuck and suck flicks will probably appreciate getting a break from his attempts at providing something different but it was still a warm scene. Sexually speaking, Mia was a better lay and her body was built for the abuses of rigorous screwing in each hole but I can't deny that Evelin's beauty would likely win me over every time as I enjoy watching the lookers screw. There was oral, straight and anal sex with an emphasis on the latter and both gals did just fine in the scene.

Scene Three: Sharon, a gal that reminded me of an all-natural version of Gina Ryder (perhaps a bit leaner too), wore the same red dress she had on the back DVD cover. Her body was tight enough that she could wear such a form fitting outfit and not look whorish although many of you will probably disagree that this would be a bad thing. Her partners were Chris and Bob, a couple of guys built for entertaining the ladies if you catch my drift. She showed off her splendid oral skills before allowing them to take turns on her tight pussy, making it a warmish scene but not one for the fans of circus act sex. Her beautiful ass looked made for sex so perhaps we'll get to see that in action in the future.

Scene Four: Mariesa, the hot blooded Latina featured on the left side of the front DVD cover, started off the next scene with Steve in a cage and her teasing him a bit while dressed up in a fetish corset outfit. For those who haven't kept up with current events, she was one of the performers to test positive for HIV earlier this year. It's a shame since the porn world has lost a performer that is truly exceptional when it comes to turning on the heat, making this scene all the more important to appreciate (forget that her outspokenness and fiery attitude have helped those outside the industry attack it on their terms). In any case, she and blonde hotty Malitia took turns getting Steve all riled up but letting him sample their tasty cracks before letting him out of the cage. This scene was probably the most stylish overall, having oral, straight and lots of tease in the darkened dungeon making it a good choice to showcase exactly the kind of worldview director Leslie has for his scenes (don't get me wrong, he's versatile but has grown dependant on style over substance in the last ten years). For the most part, it was a great scene that fans can enjoy over and over again, especially if they like the domination aspects of the sex.

Scene Five: Claudia, a blonde vixen that looks remarkably like an all-natural version of Carmen Luvana, can be seen in the middle of the lower front DVD cover. Mike was her partner for the majority of the scene with Garry joining in for some oral pleasuring at the end. The darkened room theme of the show started to wear a bit by this point since I wanted to be able to see her clearly as she took a penis into her wet, willing lips and as she was bent over to let Mikey take over and give her a bone of his own. Regardless, the scene was probably the most like a filler scene of the whole movie and it just didn't go beyond mechanical screwing since the heat and chemistry were never present in quantity.

Summary: I liked a couple of scenes enough to rate this one as Recommended all by themselves but a few of the others left me somewhat cold at times so I averaged them out a bit. Fans of Mr. Leslie might want to boost up the ratings a bit and detractors tear down the basics of what he has to offer but casual fans will probably find this one as either very well done or kind of weak, depending on their taste. As with many things in porn, personal tastes will dictate the level of interest and there is little middle ground here. The cast was very attractive, the sex diverse enough to get off most consumers and the scenarios interesting enough for those who've become somewhat jaded with porn over the years. Check it out and you'll see what I mean.
