Extra's: Most people will like the bonus scene taken from Born To Be Buttwoman as the best extra. It starred Layla Jade, Sandy Kay, and some unknown guy getting busy in a restaurant booth. I liked the scene too but it hardly qualifies as a true extra since it wasn't shot for this movie. It ran nearly 26 minutes long and was fun nonetheless. The best true extra, shot for this release, was a 46.5 minute Behind the Scenes feature by Ron Bossman that had pretty much all of the cast in it. They had photoshoots, some of the sex and goofing off you get in such features, and was very well done (adding plenty of replay value to the show). There were also five trailers to other movies but that was about it this time. In all, a decent group of extras solely due to the inclusion of the BTS feature.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color that Elegant Angel has used since it's inception. My biggest complaint of the show was that the picture was somewhat grainy with compression artifacts and a wandering focus at times. The colors seemed saturated and on a technical note, the picture was weaker than average. I'm just glad that the heat was enough to compensate for the picture; something Patrick has had issues with in the past as well. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 stereo English but it was also somewhat weak with the vocals hollow and the music lacking much dynamic range. To be frank, I don't buy Elegant Angel DVDs for their technical merits so I don't fret much about these aspects of their productions but if the company would improve this area of their releases, I'd be singing their praises all over the place.

Body of Review: Those of you who follow pop culture phenomenon's know that porn produces the occasional icon that transcends the genre. One of the most recognizable names in porn has to be John Stagliano's Buttman character; a guy that has such a love of female ass that his whole existence is driven by the pursuit of it. In a bit of a take off of that character, Elegant Angel came up with a female version of the character, Buttwoman. Over the years, several gals have played the character and each brought their own unique perspective to the lesser known female version of the infamous original. The latest volume in the series starred one of porn's reigning anal queens, Lauren Phoenix, and was titled Buttwoman Iz…Lauren Phoenix. I'll be honest and admit that my exposure to the Buttwoman character is somewhat limited but I've come to truly enjoy watching Lauren in a number of scenes over the past year so I was really pumped to see this flick. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast, noting that anal action was standard in each one:

Scene One: Lauren, the hotty on the front DVD cover, started the movie off by telling director Patrick Collins how she wanted to be the next Buttwoman. If she had walked into my office and showed off her sweet ass, I'd have been all over it in a heartbeat; giving her whatever she wanted in order to get a piece of that round rump. As it was, she teamed up with Cytherea, the current squirt queen (although I say she's just pissing) who was still a brunette here, and porn stud Randy. The three took turns holding the camera as they screwed each other, doing all the oral, straight and anal they could handle. The energy level and chemistry was great and the scene was set for an awesome movie that included some solid point of view action for those who care. Cytherea squirt, there was lots of ATM action, and the facials were among the best I've seen from Randy in a long time.

Scene Two: Amber, an attractive brunette with some decent curves claiming to be in her first two weeks of her porn career, interviewed with Patrick in his office. The premise of the scene was somewhat unclear but Lauren didn't mind when the two got together in a lesbian outing. For the most part, it was a pretty decent scene with some of Lauren's trademarked energy but it was somewhat limp compared to the last scene. That's not to say it was a bad scene, just that the first scene was so much fun it gave this scene a tough act to follow. Regardless, the gals did some oral, some spanking, oiled up boning with toys and if you enjoy lesbian sex; you'll be able to use this scene a number of times for your personal pleasuring.

Scene Three: Anna, a well known blonde in foreign circles, has long been known for her anal antics so her scene with domestic counterpart Lauren, and the meat puppets Mick and Claudio was pretty solid too. The premise of the scene centered on Anna being harassed by the two men in an office as they questioned her immigration status. The specifics were irrelevant since Lauren soon joined them and the foursome did some major hammering on one another. Lauren took an energetic DP, both gals showed solid oral skills, and the guys were exceptionally lucky to tap the hotties here when they ended it with a facial to Anna as well as dropping their loads on Lauren's up-turned ass (it looked great by the way). Anna licked the semen out of her new pal's crack and the scene finished on a high note.

Scene Four: Holly, a good looking blonde, and Tristan were having a scene on a couch with Lauren taping them. Tristan, being ordered around by director Lauren, swapped out with her several times as both turned their affections to Holly. The end result was a fair amount of screwing and oral with Lauren being the focal point of the anal action (and Holly getting rimmed a bunch herself). Lauren took his penis inside her crack quite easily and the trio did give some energy to their performance but it wasn't as good as it could have been for some reason. I think Lauren was great and Tristan pretty good but Holly seemed held back a bit too much for my liking.

Scene Five: Vicky, one of the hottest gals in porn these days, has proven her skill over the last year in the porn world. She is one of those MILF's that most men seem to recognize as the real deal, enjoying sex in all its wonderful forms. Lauren and Reno joined her and I have to admit that as much as I like watching Lauren, Vicky impressed me as her equal in every way. From the oral to the straight to the anal, I'd be hard pressed to choose who would've won a sexual Olympics. Thankfully, their scene wasn't a competition so much as a cooperative effort on their part and each brought their own style to the proceedings. The energy levels and chemistry were off the scale yet again and I think the scene was tied with the first for the best of the show. I hope someday I'll get to see the two gals go at one another without any distractions to see who reigns as champion but the bottom line is that both have always been exceptionally gifted sexually.

Summary: I'll be the first to admit that a year or so ago, I had all but written off Elegant Angel as a failed company based on their lack of releases, a propaganda war launched by a rival company (that I really like), and the behind the scenes drama the company was going through. In the fast paced world of porn, consumers refuse to sit still since there are always a number of new companies willing to provide whatever performers, directors, and settings said consumers want. Elegant had lost its way and I'm happy to report that it has made something of a comeback to be proud of. Buttwoman Iz…Lauren Phoenix is worth a rating of Recommended based on the fine cast, the hot sex, and the way it all came together. Mr. Collins isn't as well known as some of his counterparts these days but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't rise like a Phoenix himself and show the world he still has what it takes to produce some great porn that many of us will enjoy. If a guy that's fixated on technical aspects as much as I am can enjoy this release, a great many of you will be busting a nut for months with these scenes. Enjoy!
