Extra's: Extras vary in importance to consumers but I've always been up front that I like plenty of them and prefer them unique to the movie I'm reviewing. The DVD format can hold a lot of material and I've noticed that some of the biggest companies tend to skimp on the extras far too often. This time, there was an okay, 20 minute long, Behind the Scenes feature but most of it seemed to be Steven St. Croix mugging for the camera. I'd rather have had some interviews and discussion on the movie if not actual sex cut from the movie but at least it was made for this release. There were two decent scenes for other Adam & Eve movies included but they were simply rehashes of stuff made for other fuck flicks so it's tough to give full credit for them. The extras were rounded off with a photogallery, some trailers, and the usual spam for those who care.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in "High Definition 24p Widescreen Format" but I'd be lying if I said it looked even close to average in terms of accurate fleshtones, clarity of picture, and all the other terms people associate with a good picture. In short, it looked really weak. Part of the problem was that the stylish lighting didn't translate well onto DVD and the grain levels were very high but the compression artifacts and video noise didn't help matters either. Toss in a lot of slow motion photography and you have the recipe for disaster. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English but the droning and repetitive soundtrack nearly drove me mad as I listened to the show. The vocals were distant and off in a number of ways (poor mixing?) as well as always taking a back seat to the music (bad choice here).

Body of Review: Over the years, I've noticed that there is a market for virtually every type of porn you can imagine, From the softer style of Candida Royalle to the current wave of Gonzo, people sure have a lot to choose from when it comes to porn these days. That's why some companies get more extreme and others stick with their comfortable area of expertise; knowing full well that you can't please everyone. One such company is Adam & Eve, a company firmly devoted to the softer side of couples porn that more companies are abandoning every month. The company can always be counted on to stay true to itself and such is the case with its latest release, I'll Do Anything, a movie with minimal plot and just a hint of harder sex in a romanticized group of settings designed for men to show their women. As much an ensemble series of vignettes as anything else, the movie had a number of very attractive gals do the usual oral and straight sex but almost always in a manner that would be less threatening to a woman audience unused to adult material. If this sounds like something you'd like to see, read the following breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Cytherea, one of the leading gals of so-called squirting porn, has been a driving force in porn over the last couple of years. Her lean, youthful look and sexual drive are legendary by now and few would deny her ability to do whatever it takes to milk a nut dry. Sadly, her scene with Steven held her back so much as to make the scene almost worthless for me. I didn't care so much about her ass zits or lack of energy but there was no chemistry as well so the oral and straight sex seemed generic at best.

Scene Two: Alicia, a curvy blonde British gal with a few extra pounds, had the next scene. It was on a couch with the mighty Evan and I also expected this one to be really good since her past scenes have shown me her talents to the max. Needless to say, she also seemed held back and the scene was lame although slightly better than the first scene discussed above. Her oral was decent but the straight boning made me wonder if this was the same Alicia Rhodes I've watched riding some of the biggest dicks in porn.

Scene Three: Lezley, sporting a fake rack but a sweet bikini in the pool showed me why I've always enjoyed her work. She has a girl next door look that seems to make a guy believe that he too could have her (admittedly untrue). While she looked good, the emphasis on oral here left the scene with no balance and the slow, sensual sex with Cheyne was nice to watch once but hardly a reason to get the DVD.

Scene Four: Temptation, a very attractive gal that I haven't seen nearly enough of recently, was next up in an outdoor scene with the massive Lee on a patio table. The scene started at dusk and worked through the night to provide a cute look at this hotty but I wanted so much more from it that I guessed was left on the cutting room floor. Lee's oral to her was pretty solid but the rest of the scene reminded me why I have been abandoning the softer core porn in recent months; there was just no kick to it.

Scene Five: Dru and Dominica, both attractive brunettes here, had a romantic lesbian scene on a couch. It was by far the best scene of the flick and the licking looked really good with the rubbing and tease they had after the foreplay. Each gal seemed slightly different in terms of the kind of heat and chemistry they brought to the show and while it was tame by current standards, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Scene Six: Karina, the blonde on the front DVD cover, was finally up to bat in a scene with Steven. The lighting was low, the slow motion kicked into high gear, and the sex as extreme as it got in the movie since she took a little bit of anal in a slow motion boning. Had there been anything special about the scene, I'd let you know but the lack of chemistry made the mechanical screwing, for all the special visual effects, pointless.

Summary: I like watching all kinds of porn (except gay stuff) and the bottom line is that romantic movies can be made that don't include the circus act sex that seems dominant these days and still be worth watching but this wasn't it. It was almost as if this movie was trying to be something it wasn't and the forced nature of the sex made me think that Mr. Steele was trying too hard to please an audience he really doesn't understand. Sometimes, he can pull it off but more often than not, his attempts fall flat. I'm going to be a bit harsh on this release and give it a rating of Skip It but if you're a major fan of the cast, it may rate a rental for you. The cast was attractive (making it more of a waste) and the potential for fun there but it never made it out of the station if you catch my drift.
