THE SEX

I suppose one of the reasons Mayhem decided to make a fetish-themed title like Dementia was to capitalize on the popularity of similarly themed movies, such as the huge award-winning hit, The Fashionistas. And while Dementia is not in the same league with that popular Evil Angel release, it is an enjoyable flick – especially if you're a big fan of Aurora Snow (which this reviewer certainly is).

The movie is told from Aurora's point of view, as she does voice-overs during the movie, and the viewer is never quite sure if Aurora is dreaming it all, or if these things are actually happening to her. Her character has been having fantasies about getting involved in the fetish lifestyle, and after having a dream about blonde-haired Hannah Harper getting double penetrated by a pair of men (most of the actors in the film where fetish gear and masks – making them hard to identify), she awakes the next morning and finds herself being abducted and shoved into the back of a van.

When Aurora awakes (assuming she's not dreaming it all…that is!) she finds herself in a large house where sex and fetish play seem to be the rule. She has a chain attached to her and is led into a room where she is forced to watch Katja Kean in a foursome with three other men. Later, she finds herself in fetish gear and gets into her own threesome with two men – one white and one black, during which she gets both anal and double penetration.

This is followed by a hot scene in which Aurora is forced to watch from inside a glass box as her boyfriend (played by Tony Tedeschi) joins another guy to have a mini-orgy with performers Gia Paloma, Vanessa Lane and Daphne Rosen.

In Dementia's most daring sequence, Aurora is led into a room where eight naked guys await her at a table…all with glass plates in front of their bodies. Aurora crawls up on the table as each guy jerks off onto his respective plate. Ms. Snow moves right down the line, licking up the cum from each plate until she has finished with all eight guys.

The movie concludes with Aurora getting table-fucked by a beefy guy with a leather mask over his head – the majority of which consists of her getting doggy anal from behind. This scene – like all of the scenes in Dementia - ends with an oral pop-shot.

VIDEO/AUDIO

The video is presented in the full-frame format and is quite nice for an adult release. There is the smallest hint of grain, and a certain lack of sharpness, but overall it's a pretty good transfer. The audio is presented in 2.0 Dolby, and also sounds better-than-average for an adult DVD title.

THE EXTRAS

The movie runs about 2 ½ hours in length, so Mayhem has included a second DVD in this release to hold all the bonus features. The extras are quite nice, and include separate Interviews with all the girls in the cast, plus one with director Jim Powers; an 8-minute Behind The Scenes segment; text Biographies for the entire cast (including the male performers); three separate Photo Galleries; a Pop Shot Recap; and a sneak preview trailer for Dementia II.

BRIAN'S BOTTOM LINE

If more scenes could have had the creativity of Aurora licking cum off of plates, Dementia might have been something special. However, this is still an above-average porn, and those who enjoy fetish, a lot of latex, and some mild bondage in their adult movies will want to check this one out.
