Extra's: The only real extra was a short Behind the Scenes session at the end of the DVD lasting almost seven minutes long but there was a short slide show too.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as originally shot. The colors were slightly off due to the lighting and there were a number of moments with a slightly soft focus that I wasn't happy with. Otherwise, the camera angles seemed to spend too much time with the close up shots for my liking but it was pretty decent in most other ways. The audio was presented in stereo English but I didn't hear any separation between the channels, leaving me to think the DVD mastering just encoded a monaural track with the stereo signal as displayed on my receiver. The vocals were clear with few of the usual problems from Cherry Boxxx with low levels interfering with the talking and the music minimal so as not to create any problems.

Body of Review: Cherry Boxxx Pictures has been releasing a number of series that I've found enjoyable of late and taking advantage of the star power of a few contract performers they wisely hired. One of the more popular gals they've employed has been the blonde thunder from down under, Monica Mayhem. Complete with her flowing locks of blond hair, lean but curvy body, and sexy Australian accent, Monica has long appealed to fans for her energetic performances and sexual talents with both men and women. Her latest movie, Monica Mayhem's The Sex Therapist, is yet another vignette driven release with her participating in three of the show's six scenes. While the movie will appeal to more than just her fans, it was definitely designed to cash in on her drawing power as a star performer, so if you're interested, read the following breakdown of scenes by cast:

Scene One: Monica, ostensibly playing the role of a sex counselor, sat at a desk while Tommy indicated he had performance problems. She took the initiative to calm his poor little nerves and warm him up. The two did the usual oral and straight sex, with the muscular Tommy showing whatever performance issues he had to be out the window as he boned her with abandon in several positions. I didn't really think the two had a lot of chemistry but they did display some energy that often makes up for it in many ways. The scene was fun with enough to enjoy watching it several times, if you catch my drift.

Scene Two: Eve, another blonde but one with far less experience, used her lean body in a scene that had Cheyne acting a bit effeminate in his role of therapist. I've seen her in another movie or two with mixed results but Davis' direction seemed to work for her at least as well as those who directed her before. I liked her lean physique and ready smile here although the implants looked larger than I prefer. The oral was really solid and the straight sex not bad either with the two showing some chemistry in their energetic performance. I may have to go back and revisit her earlier performances to see if the spark shown here was as discernable in them but I liked the scene just fine.

Scene Three: Monica, still in her role and looking good, had a lesbian scene with porn legend Shayla, the gal on the front DVD cover standing beside her Australian pal, wearing the blue shirt. I'm mostly familiar with Shayla's older performances and recurring role in some of Jim Holliday's movies for VCA but I hear she still has what it takes to please fans. This scene followed the usual formula with the minimal plot in the very minimal office setting on the provided bed. I liked how they took their time to warm up to each other and explore one another's body with the oral and rubbing. While I know a large number of porn watchers don't like older women (anything over 30 being relegated to the scrap heap), the gals helped dispel the myth of the porn wash-up with their energetic performance here. I also believed that the two would've done the scene off camera for their personal pleasure much of the time, a fact that made it pleasurable to watch.

Scene Four: Bobbi, one of the hottest performers in porn today, looked ready to steal the show as she spoke with therapist Cain at his desk. I can't describe how attractive this gal is (at this year's AEE show, they lined up to see her in droves) with her sweet ass, beautiful face, and overall appeal. The premise was that she wasn't sure if she liked men or women better, and I was glad she chose a guy here (although a scene with Monica would've been nice too). Their oral on one another was very well done and the straight sex decent but I was kind of bugged at how short the scene was (feeling half as long as the other scenes; just as he was half as long as some of them). In any case, I hope to see Cherry Boxxx Pictures use her more in their future work, expanding on her action a lot.

Scene Five: Vicky, the 39 year old MILF that literally took the porn world by storm over the last year with her superior performances for a large number of companies, was another gal that proved age was no barrier to heated sex play as she portrayed a nymphomaniac to Dick T.'s counselor. They sat down on a couch (although she had me at "not wearing panties") and she began masturbating with a pocket rocket as he massaged her leg. It didn't take but a moment for the oral and straight sex to begin with her in charge of the action. The energy level was off the charts as the two boned with abandon in what could fairly be labeled as the best scene of the movie in most ways. I was kind of surprised they didn't do anal but her throaty gasps for air and active participation (which the others had but she topped them) made it a killer scene.

Scene Six: Monica, in the last scene of the show, took on the powerful Dick D., a guy who has strutted his stuff on camera for years to the pleasure of ladies everywhere. There were a few elements of this scene that I didn't get with the big one being him jerking off as she stood before him. I'd rather she jerk him off if jerking was necessary since the way this was done it appeared he needed help getting hard. Otherwise, the scene was done by the numbers with the oral, PTM (pussy to mouth; also found in every other scene I might add), and straight sex before the moderate pop shot. It was an okay scene but the lack of chemistry defeated the amount of energy on display, making it only a fair scene at best.

Summary: I think the movie was worth a rating of Recommended for the attractive cast, their often warm sexual performances, and the general feel of the movie. Monica is far from over in terms of making fun scenes and I'm glad Cherry Boxxx Pictures was wise enough to sign her to make a number of movies for them. While the technical matters continue to need some spit and polish, I think the company has spent some more time of late getting better performers, focusing more on talent than on the flavor of the month types they are known for hiring. If you're a fan of Monica (and who isn't?), you'll want to get this release but the appeal went beyond her skills too.
