Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 ratio color. The colors were sometimes a bit too saturated but aside from some minor grain and video noise, the show looked pretty good and never distracted from the sex taking place. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English but the use of the audio format was not really great since most of the sound came from the center channel. While this comes as no surprise, especially since the budget of most porn movies is so small, Digital Playground is world-renowned for being on the bleeding edge of technology and a number of fans appreciate their efforts.

Body of Review: One of the most popular comedy porn series on the market today is Jack's Playground. Robby D., known for his work at Vivid before making a giant leap up the ranks of his peers, made the move to Digital Playground as part of their aggressive recruitment of top notch talent a while back. Since that time, he has impressed me with his growing skill behind the camera and few would argue that his ability to make movies that make folks laugh and want to jerk off at the same time is common these days. His latest release is Jack's Playground 15: Montel's Under House Arrest, and the premise this time had Montel taking a backseat (no, really) by only doing a moment's worth of dialogue before being dismissed. As silly as a talking dildo may seem, he's one of the threads that bind the series together and it almost doesn't seem right to watch an episode where his rantings aren't regularly heard. In short, the volume seemed rushed in most other ways too, making it kind of weak on many levels. Here's my take on the show, noting that there were no stars this time to elevate the interest factor beyond the basic premise:

Scene One: Emily, the red-headed gal with punky hair and a round ass, has never really appealed to me in her past scenes. She's the gal bending over on the left side of the front DVD cover and I'm always willing to take another look at a performer since sometimes, they really surprise me. After some playful banter, she took on porn stud Joey, on a bed. While I still find something about her look to be offsetting, I think she did a decent job here with some sensual energy and talent. As a 19 year old in a crowded industry, she may well win me over in time, and fans of young gals will probably enjoy this oral and straight screwing scene more than I did. I can't recall her ever having this much fun so fans will definitely want to check this one out.

Scene Two: Monique, a lean blonde cutie as featured on the back of the DVD cover, was up next. I've seen a lot of her in recent years and never tire of how good she seems to look (although her picture on the cover seemed a bit mean) but her performances have been a bit hit or miss, if you know what I mean. This time, she was given a chance to shine as spotlighted in a masturbation scene, with her jerking herself off on a couch. I think she did a great job although I'd rather have seen her with a partner, male or female, doing much more. In a sense though, she did prove she wasn't the likely problem of some of her other scenes, making me want to check them out again.

Scene Three: Michelle, the busty blonde beauty featured on the right hand side of the front DVD cover, put her ample attributes to work with Eric after the porn stud engaged in a bit of verbal mutual masturbation with director Jack (Robby D.) about past hits, The Hitman and Beat The Devil. Her oral didn't last long enough to really appreciate and even the straight screwing (in multiple positions) seemed far slower than in other scenes I've seen her in and not nearly as extreme as she's done in the past but I liked watching her nonetheless. Her fans will almost certainly be less thrilled however as the scene was tame (with limited energy and chemistry).

Scene Four: Crissy, looking far less like Tera Patrick than she did in Jack's Playground 14, had a scene with Jake, a generic porn meat puppet on a bed. The scene actually contained a lot of her masturbation footage like the previous scene but he tried to please her before they were interrupted by Jelena (who, sadly enough, didn't participate). It was a weak scene in most ways and the closest thing to filler I've seen in a long time in the series.

Scene Five: Maliyah, the attractive blonde hotty with the all natural breasts seen in the middle of the front DVD cover, was up next with an okay masturbation scene. She went through the paces and while I'd have joined her if asked, I didn't think she was particularly into the action this time. I certainly hope to see more of her but this scene was so short that it rendered the heat negligible for me.

Scene Six: Cole, a decent looking brunette with ample curves and sexual skill, was up next in a scene with pretty boy Dale. While she's no Teagan Presley, I think she was better than average in the looks department. I liked her energetic oral as it contrasted some of the previous scenes of the show but when the couple got down to business, I almost always felt he was primping himself in a mirror located somewhere behind the camera on the wall. I also found a short bit of music played during the screwing to be distractive, almost an after thought, and why it wasn't edited out is beyond me. Maybe in future releases she'll have more fun than here.

Scene Seven: Jassie, a very lean brunette with a great mane of hair and an all natural body, was up next in a scene with world famous porn stud, Mick. By this part in the movie, I was thinking the show was a dog (not dawg, meaning cool, slicker "playa") since the best scene was with someone I didn't really care for but I had hopes that Jassie's youthful look and energetic performance could save the day in the last scene. Well, she did look good and the sex was very warm between the two of them with plenty of warmth, energy and chemistry, but it really wasn't enough to completely save the day. With oral and straight sex only, she really didn't do anything special and while she was cute, she wasn't at her best in the scene on the couch.

Summary: I'm going to rate this volume as a Rent It, the lowest I've given the series in a long time. I've watched 11 out of the 15 volumes for the series (any of you tossing out volumes 2, 3, 12, and 13 can send them my way instead) and noticed that there doesn't always have to be the star power of someone like Teagan Presley or Jesse Jane to make a volume shine but there does have to be a spark of creativity and enough attractive women into the sex to make me want to see it again. While most of the women qualified as attractive, they weren't at their best here and that limited the heat as well as replay value so check it out before buying it this time. Perhaps the series needs a bit of time off or even a little more time between episodes in order to let Robby recharge his creative batteries now that Nic Andrews isn't a regular director for Digital Playground (putting more stress on Robby to direct other releases).
