Extra's: The extras on an Evil Angel release are almost always top notch and this release was no different. The best extra was a series of deleted scenes with each of the gals doing what they do best (have sex for our pleasure in front of the camera) lasting about 26.5 minutes in length. Some of the footage was best left here in the extras section but then some of it might've been better left in the movie so consider this a great extra that added lots of value. The other extras included three trailers, a photogallery, a biography for John Leslie, a filmography for the female cast, a fetish menu, and the usual promotional spot for the John Leslie Blues Band.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot. Looking much like Crack Her Jack 2, the movie had a lot of issues with lighting and camera angles although I'll be the first to admit that they appeared to be artistic choices made by Mr. Leslie to convey the spirit of the hook here; the voyeuristic approach. If you've seen his previous volumes, any of them in fact, you'll know what I mean but if you haven't, suffice it to say that John uses light a bit too broadly and the results tend to look weaker than someone like myself enjoys. The grain and lens flare bugged me although there was enough heat to cover up my personal dislike of the style for the most part. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English with little separation and limited dynamic range but plenty of quality to here the moans, groans, and coos that the gals were making as they readily took the hardcore action. Gonzo porn is rarely a place for the audio to shine and this release was no exception.

Body of Review: Since I first started enjoying pornography, I've always had a warm place in my heart for John Leslie. Not because I found him a hunky dude that could convince me about the joys of manly love but because he always seemed to have his own style, whether he was a performer or director. I fondly remember some of his earliest works with Annette Haven as the pinnacles of porn from my youth and it should come as no small wonder that as a director, some 25 years later, he still manages to provide a visually stimulating show. His latest release is The Voyeur 28, a show that followed the usual formula of the series showing sexual antics in a point of view or hidden camera fashion. The style Mr. Leslie employs is often confused with amateurish camera work while it can be noted as very deliberate if you pay attention (I've made this mistake in the past myself). While I don't always like too many of his visual effects at once, they do manage to stimulate on a different level when they are done just right and this release seems to do just that. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action if you're still interested:

Scene One: Liz, the blonde cutie featured on the front DVD cover, was up first in a bathroom scene with Nick and Greg. I liked her sexy blue lingerie and her sexual playfulness a lot but the scene fell a bit flat most of the time. The voyeurism aspects of the scene were up to John's usual standard but it somehow seemed to have all the right ingredients mixed improperly. The sex included the usual oral, straight, anal and DP (double penetration) with her showing some energy but the chemistry was lacking and that made the scene less than the sum of its parts. Regardless, I hope to see more of her in the near future, especially if she lives up to her potential.

Scene Two: Kayla, the lean redheaded love bunny shown in the upper left hand side of the front DVD cover, Dominica, a sexual dynamo displayed on the upper right hand side of the rear DVD cover, and Manuel were up next. Both of these gals have proven in recent months to have the right stuff to star in a movie by themselves so I was really ready to watch them explode in a sexual tryst with this talented porn stud. Kayla'a version of a stripper Army Sergeant meeting Dominica's version of the base whore during the outdoor photo shoot was a decent place to start with the hidden camera appeal of the series. After warming each other up, they invited Manuel to join them (outside of the cage they began the scene in) for the usual oral, straight and anal sex. While I've never been a big fan of John's point of view material, particularly since he purposely includes lots of camera work designed to make the action look fresh, I think he pulled it off this time. Rather than looked staged, as is the case with most porn, the action looked almost realistic at times, increasing the heat substantially. You have to really look close at times but when this style works, it really works well so I might have to give up fussing at him if he keeps presenting stronger scenes like this one.

Scene Three: Ariana, a brunette with perhaps more talent in her little titties than most flavor of the month types will display over their entire careers, was another gal shown only on the back cover. Her action with both Mark and Steve proved nearly as filled with chemistry as the last scene but enhanced by more energy than the law should allow. She has never really fit the look of a standard porn star but makes up for it with her thorough enjoyment of the moment as she does everything you could expect of her with gusto to spare. The DP was hampered somewhat by her inability to maneuver in her heels and the limited size of the room but when the dicks were pumping, she was humping back, making it fun to watch.

Scene Four: Jennifer L., the hotty in the pink fishnet body stocking on the right side of the front DVD cover, Cherry, a super cute babe wearing a sexy white lingerie get up, and Victoria, a too-lean brunette wearing a stripper styled outfit, took on Kurt inside the house for fun. Initially, Jennifer and Cherry played with one another but the tease ended far too soon as they snuck up on the other two, having some fun in the process. For me, Jennifer was the star but Cherry was also quite good at the action as the quartet did more than most people could stand with oral, straight and anal (Victoria in an acrobatic moment). If I had been directing, I'd have spent a LOT more time with Jennifer and Cherry but I'm just fussing because I thought of the lost opportunity to squeeze even more heat out of the scene.

Scene Five: Jennifer D., the beautiful brunette featured in the upper right hand side of the front DVD cover, Choky and Ricardo, were last up to the plate. She was one of the most vocal gals of the movie, something I tend to really appreciate, and did a lot of energetic anal but she always seemed to be holding back as I watched her. I admit that the outdoor park was a great setting for the voyeur camera tricks John likes to use but some of the time it seemed to get in the way (well, more than usual). This by no means suggests that the scene wasn't well done, just that a bit more care might've made it even better. Fans will take note that she did a lot of anal but stopped short of riding them both with a DP so if you're looking for that, look elsewhere.

Summary: I can't always say that I'm in the mood for John's movies but I'd be hosing you if I said he wasn't the most artistically talented director working for Evil Angel. This can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending solely on your personal tastes, but as an occasional treat, I have to say I readily admit his work (I don't get to see enough of it though). I'm going to rate this release as Recommended based on the great cast, the warm sex and the interesting choices made as much as the amount of fuck for the buck and swell extras but fans of his will easily see it as even more worthy of a higher rating (for good reason). If you want the same old sex in the same old positions with the same old production values, look elsewhere but if you're willing to take a chance that will likely pay off for you, check this one out.
