Extra's: As with virtually all Evil Angel releases, the bonus footage was the best extra by far. Seeing the gals go at it is the reason we watch the movie itself so it should come as no surprise that the 19 minutes of extra footage makes for even more good times for the viewer and cast as well (Rocco seemed to like being rimmed for example). The other extras were helpful to me, especially the cast list and filmography of the performers, but the photogallery and director's biography wasn't bad either.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally recorded by Rocco and his crew. The colors were generally decent and the three scenes all had flavors of their own in terms of the style of photography employed, with something for everyone that likes gonzo porn. In the first two scenes, both shot primarily indoors, the lighting was pretty good and the grain levels minimal with few compression artifacts and little video noise. The third scene, shot outdoors on a gloomy day, the grain and noise were much more prevalent and bothersome, the reverse of what normally takes place (outdoor shoots are almost always better looking). The varied camera angles and close-ups allowed the entire cast to get some showcased time onscreen but I got the impression that a few scenes might've given more thought to enhancing the way they handled particular women (some of the time, the camera work detracted from the gals). The audio was presented in the usual stereo English and wasn't great but for all the lack of stereo separation and limited dynamic range, I could hear all the moans, groans and squeals, making it acceptable for my purposes.

Body of Review: Rocco Siffredi is nothing short of a legend in porn to most of the world these days. While there are currently reports that he's going to hang up his act and focus on other things in life (primarily his family), I'm satisfied that as long as he's working in some capacity in the jizz bizz, good porn will be available to all those who seek his movies. One of the series he has been known for in recent years now has a new volume out, Rocco's Initiations 9, and for those who enjoy seeing fresh young talent have sex with Rocco and his group of studly buddies, this will likely be a decent choice to pick up. Like Volume 8, the gals are put to the test of pleasing the studly bunch in a variety of ways, all the while getting off (or at least getting paid, if not both) for your viewing pleasure. Unlike other series that use women that were worn out years ago, Rocco seems capable of getting good women to do bad things, a good idea in the crowded marketplace these days. My biggest warning for those of you out there is that the cast this time looked much more average than usual, a fact that will upset some of you and please those who care more about the sexual energy and heat (less attractive gals tend to be better in bed, just ask my girlfriends) but if you're still interested, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action:

Scene One: Henriette, Alina, Lara, and Rocco, had a scene after he railed about past movies not having the women in nice lingerie, essentially suggesting that he thinks the gals look sexier wearing something (I happen to agree with his statements) rather than being completely nude. He was sitting on a bench by a park near a college as he spoke to a variety of gals, none of which looked like top notch porn chicks but all of which seemed fresher than those usually used in Rocco's movies. After he played with them in public a bit, he took them back to his place and the real fun began. From the oral to the vaginal screwing, it looked like they had fun and it was interesting when the scene broke up when his girlfriend walked in on the action (toying with him in a playful manner). The emphasis was not on anal this time although that took place too and I have to admit I enjoyed the way the scene was not forced into a cookie cutter formula as most porn these days is known for. There was a lot of energy and even some chemistry between the cast in this warm scene.

Scene Two: Mischel, Eva, Barbara, Gabriel, Kevin, Roly, JJ and Rocco, had a scene after he partook in some tease with one of the gals. While none of them were exactly glamorous either, they all seemed to enjoy the action at least a little bit, and a couple showing an attitude that had me under the impression that they were really turned on by the action. The story line this time was a little more convoluted (nothing worth mentioning) and I think the slightly homely Mischel would've benefited from one of those makeover shows (although she wasn't in need of an extreme makeover). The majority of the sex was oral and vaginal this time but aside from the nature of the sometimes looks-challenged gals, it was also plenty of fun to watch.

Scene Three: Julie, Nomi, Suzie, Eimi, Claudia, Franco, and Juliano had the final scene in a playful outdoor romp in a yard with a pool. Most fans know that Rocco doesn't rely on a set amount of time for his scenes, allowing them to evolve as need be and relying more on a sense of what's working when he's filming instead of a punch clock as so many other producer/directors seem to do these days. Thanks to his lengthy experience in the industry on both sides of the camera, I think he is one of the few such people capable of doing this and it shows in the final work. This scene is a prime example of what I mean with the way the cast wasn't tied down to a specific laundry list of times per action, enjoying themselves during the oral, the vaginal and anal sex more in the process. My biggest complaint for this scene was that there was a lot of grain on the screen and that shouldn't have been the case given the natural lighting from the sun. Regardless, it was fun to watch with plenty of energy and a varying amount of chemistry between the cast.

Summary: Normally, I'm a huge stickler for technical values and a cast that is very attractive and this review will be no different. I enjoyed the playful antics of the cast enough to rate it as Recommended but make no mistake that the gals were less appealing in terms of how they looked (with a few notable exceptions) and the last scene looked poor by comparison on a technical basis. I think Rocco is one of the better performer-turned-directors and don't want to question his casting abilities here but I hope he reverts to looking for the beauties I've come to expect from him in future volumes (if he doesn't retire).
