Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color and looked to be shot on film instead of the usual video. Some of the time, this simply means it was made to look like film but either way, it impacted the quality of the picture in a negative manner. Most of the trouble derived from the poor lighting as it caused grain, video noise and a host of shadows to interfere with my enjoyment of the movie. The color saturation levels were very high as well with the compression artifacts coming in a close third for worst problem. The audio was more of a mixed bag as it was presented in the usual monaural-turned-stereo that porn is associated with. The problems here were mostly related to the mix between the vocals, music and background noises, all of which could've used more care. At times, the score was well done (perhaps Asia had something to do with it) but this was not always the case and the limited dynamic range limited the quality of the vocals too.

Body of Review: Checking out older titles has become something of a hobby for me in recent weeks as I tried to rediscover my reviewing roots. Unlike some reviewers (on other review sites), I think it's important to take time and reflect once in awhile on where I started and where I'm going by checking out some of the movies that either worked for me in the past or didn't, in order to lend me a kind of perspective lost on most of my colleagues who never revisit anything in their continual march forward in the name of progress. While I don't feel the need to rewrite the entire reviews I did in most cases, I have taken to making some changes (primarily to grammar but also to things that bother me more now than they did at the time). That said, here's a look at a release by Bud Lee for Adam & Eve, Wildflower. "The movie centered on a woman with a tormented past played by the lovely and talented Asia. She had a bad sexual experience when younger and is now a recluse (some say this is another biographical movie for her). This being a waste of such a beauty; Devon came to the rescue in order to save the day. The movie was definitely a couple's oriented movie and contains oral, straight, and anal sex." Here's a look at the scenes with minimal changes from what I thought years ago:

Scene One: The sex scenes started off with Stacy and Paris, the pool cleaners, engaged in a lesbian romp outdoors. Both of them were hardbodies although Stacy was better looking in the face. This is unusual in that couples films usually downplay this type of action. Perhaps Bud was experimenting in an effort to find a couples film that was hot enough for mainstream porn (now there's a term) buyers.

Scene Two: The next scene was with Devon and Jill. She looked really nice (except for a big ass zit) but the lighting inside the house or the second camera caused a few problems with picture quality. Jill looked a lot better in Blue Matrix but I've long been a fan of hers and can't truly dislike the scene here because of that fact.
You'll notice the romantic setting and the line of baloney Devon spouted as an attempt to be romantic. I guess wildflowers need fertilizer too.

Scene Three: We then see a bit of sexual activity; mostly as a flashback into Asia's past. I suppose it's plausible that a guy would have a heart attack walking in on her in real life. She was hot! The next actual sex scene is Devon having flashbacks with TJ and Julie. I guess Bud was being creative again but I can't say I didn't like seeing them as all of these gals have a special place in my sorted past.

Scene Four: Afterwards, Asia played a voyeur while watching Devon in the shower. I liked the fact that she masturbated while doing so but the scene could have been longer. I'm told this is called pacing and unfortunately, in this case at least, Bud made a good call since it's a couple's movie. She had a more extensive flashback sequence during this scene.

Scene Five: As Asia's sexual desires reawaken, her dreams became more vivid. She has a romp with Nick in this next one. As ever, Asia looked good and enjoyed what she did in front of the camera.

Scene Six: The last scene was, of course, between Asia and Devon. The whole point of the pacing and storyline was to build up to this moment. This is dangerous ground because there is a fine line between being too couples oriented and too hard core.
Bud played it safe throughout the movie and led us to this point in such a manner that hardcore types will have left already (or, in home movie watching, sped through the dialogue) but couples will probably be watching (or screwing each other; a fair trade). Both Asia and Devon hade fun and I did too by proxy.

Summary: This was another Bud Lee couples film. I guess that his having been married to Asia (now divorced) made him more comfortable filming her in these types of movies. There is a definite need for them and it's easy to see where this might've been edited for cable to boost profits. The acting was wooden much of the time and there was a plot of sorts to keep your significant other happy that you aren't watching Ass Quake. That said, there was a lot to like here and most of it was well done, given the limitations, so I rated it as Recommended, based on the low price as much as the fun sex that took place. If you want a couples movie that doesn't cost too much, this is as good a choice as many newer movies. If you prefer something a lot more technically proficient, look for A Witch's Tail (with Asia) or Blue Matrix (with Jill Kelly).

Note to Adam & Eve: I know this isn't one of your Premium line but it looks like you had started giving it thought by this time. The extras were weak and the menu had a disturbing habit of forcing me into restarting the dvd to get to the movie after watching them. I liked the little touches that were sneaked into the movie; a few cameo appearances by people such as Bud in the restaurant scene were cute. All this one needed to be a real winner was some polish.
