Extra's: The best extra was easily the 21 minute long Making of Ass Games feature. From the sex footage to the interviews to the goofing off, the feature added some good value to the DVD release. The other extras were the more standardized trailers, photogallery, minimal cast biographies, and the usual production notes. One sad thing I noticed was the inclusion of spam at the beginning of the DVD; a shame since Private has never struck me as the kind of company that needed the few extra bucks such advertising provides (and consumers hate with a passion).

Audio/Video Quality: Ass Games was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as Skeeter shot it earlier this year. The lighting wasn't as solid as most other Private movies (or even Skeeter's more recent work for Metro) and that added some grain and video noise to the scenes but the action was typically solid enough to cover up many of the minor flaws that reared their ugly heads (sorry but the analogy fit perfectly and I couldn't resist). The composition of the angles and overall picture sometimes left something to be desired but most of the time, they flattered the women. The audio was presented in the usual stereo but it was kind of hollow most of the time. While it wasn't bad enough to keep me from liking the action, it wasn't as good as Private is known for; not by a long shot. As usual, you could select other languages or subtitles but I'm not sure if they were accurate translations or not.

Body of Review: Skeeter Kerkove is one of Metro Interactive's shining contract directors at this time due to the type of anal action he coaxes out of his female cast members as well as the kind of fetish outfits he makes them wear (which I happen to really like). Before coming to this company though, he worked for several others, having picked up a few tricks while suitably employed by his anal queen wife, Bridgette Kerkove, as a suitcase pimp. As he continues to make his flavor of anal porn, it makes sense to look at his roots and see if he's getting any better at his craft. Having watched numerous releases of his, I can safely say that he really is getting better each time. That said, the latest release of his on the Private label is Private X-Treme 15: Ass Games, a collection of six scenes of his made before he was locked in at Metro. For the most part, they weren't quite as good as his later works but he did give plenty of fuck for the buck and there was a lot to enjoy watching here. If you'd like to know more, read the following breakdown of the scenes by cast and action:

Scene One: Katja, the curvy German redhead that has scored more hardcore scenes this year than anyone else I know, began by teasing the camera as she wiggled about in her pink fishnet top, matching pink patent leather boots, and PVC shorts with fishnet stockings as well as a collar and wrist restraints. Manuel was the lucky bastard during this scene that immediately started rimming her tight pucker and pussy to prepare them for the coming onslaught he had in mind. She gave 110% during her blowjob and the two fucked like demons in several positions before she rimmed him a little bit. It ended when he made a deposit on her face that she gargled before swallowing down easily. Whew!

Scene Two: Katsumi, the French Asian gal that has been very popular among the circus act sex fans in the last few years, pranced about on a public street wearing a black and pink PVC outfit as she smoked a cigarette and readied herself for her scene with Benjamin and Chris in a dungeon. She has long been established as an oral slut with tremendous talent and this scene was no different as she blew both of them with gusto. They then took turns screwing her before she took the DP (double penetration) like the anal queen that she is. While her levels of energy weren't quite as high as Katja's, no one could reasonably deny that she's talented sexually and this scene proved the point repeatedly. Her fans will likely pop a nut or two watching this scene as will others.

Scene Three: Nomi, a lean French blonde wearing a weird PVC fetish outfit herself (more like an apron with straps), was up next as she smoked and pranced about like the others. Given the (lack of) quality with her tease footage, I wasn't expecting much by way of the actual scene but Skeeter's surprised me in the past so I waited until I saw the whole scene before making further comment. Mark and Bob were her partners and she did all the types of action I expected of her, from the oral to the straight to the anal with DP (and all the taste testing you'd care for). While the trio did have a lot of energy, the scenes themselves were kind of mechanical so if you care about the nuances of good porn, you may not find it to your liking. It wasn't a bad scene, just a limited one compared to some of the others (like the first two here).

Scene Four: Michelle, the British tart with an attractive face, large implants, and a sexual skill second to few in the industry, was up next as she wore a PVC skirt and top with boots to match in a scene with Ben. I remember how many fans were upset when she dropped out of porn for awhile but when she came back, she was larger than life in terms of how she gave even more of herself. She gave good head and took his hammering at her pussy and ass like an established professional. While this wasn't her strongest scene ever, it had all the elements a fan could hope for and she swallowed his moderate sized load at the end of the action. Fans of anal queens will want to check out more of her work too.

Scene Five: Haley, the brunette on the front DVD cover, struck me as an odd choice for being there since she wasn't the biggest name of the bunch and her scene was far from the hottest but I suppose there are more important mysteries to worry about than how she scored a porn DVD cover. Admittedly, she had some nice DSL's (dick sucking lips) and curves worth exploring but even with the fetish smoking at the beginning of the scene as she teased the camera, she wasn't all that great (nor was her ass). Bob was her partner and as the weakest guy in the movie, he didn't bring much to the scene either although the couple managed to keep at one another long enough to warrant inclusion in the movie for me. The guy looked like he weighed 90 pounds soaking wet and while there may be a porn niche he's fulfilling; it isn't one I'm familiar with at this time. Regardless, in a solid movie, there'll always be a scene or two that really didn't make the mark so I can't crucify the DVD for this one alone.

Scene Six: Estella, a brunette hotty wearing a silvery stripper outfit with a biker hat, teased with a passion as she climbed stairs, smoked her cigarette and otherwise displayed her skinny body with some flair. Fans of tall women (she towered over Skeeter due to her very tall platform shoes) will enjoy this scene as she did David in a small room. Her oral was well received and she did the holding of her heels position too (something that later became standard on Skeeter's movies) but also some ATM off an anal plug before he started planking her from behind and spanking her ass. She was too passive during the anal action but otherwise gave a good scene with lots of energy and chemistry.

Summary: Ass Games was far from perfect but it was worth a rating of Recommended based on the attractive cast, the diversity of said cast, and their overall sexual talents as caught on camera by Skeeter. The production values were slightly worse than you'll find on his most recent projects but the level of fuck for the buck can't be denied given the running time of the release. Skeeter is quickly proving critics wrong about his skills and I hope that he continues to strive at polishing his rougher edges as he appears to have done since this was actually shot.
