Extra's: The best extra was the 9 minutes of bonus sex footage. Let's face it; people buy porn for the sex and more of it is a good thing to include. I also really liked the 19 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Jake Malone and Tim Von Swine since it spent so much time of Keri and Sativa. While I would've also enjoyed seeing more of the other gals, that would only be the case if the material on the DVD didn't have to be cut. There was also a photogallery, a pop shot recap, some trailers, and a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Sex Fiends was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as most porn is shot these days. The lighting was good, the composition of most of the shots solid, and the colors were accurate. There were no compression artifacts or video noise worth mentioning and I thought the visuals were virtually always handled decently. The audio was presented in the usual stereo English but the levels were a bit mixed and at times it was easier to hear what was going on than others. For the most part, the moans and groans were captured well enough but this is an area that could use some work in the future.

Body of Review: After being a porn stud for years and a resident of the Anabolic stable, John Strong is now working with the nice folks at Platinum X Pictures, providing them with some of his gonzo appeal. While he has less of a style (he's said to be working on it though) than some of his co-workers, he manages to make some pretty good gonzo these days. His latest release is a little movie called Sex Fiends, and while few of the gals could be classified as such, the movie was pretty good to watch, especially for fans of the gonzo genre. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action if you're still interested, noting that most scenes had a fair amount of anal going on but not all of them:

Scene One: Keri, the 18 year old blonde hotty on the front DVD cover, Sativa, a hot 20 year old with raven hair and killer curves, and director John, had the first scene on a couch. It started with Keri wearing a fishnet top and making out with John. He warmed her up nicely and even fed her some of her own juices but as hot as she looked, something with missing from the equation (and yes, almost all porn is based on equations). That something was Sativa, one of the few gals in the movie that could be considered a sex fiend, and she blazed in the scene with these two rank amateurs (by comparison). As the gals orally pleased John, they provided a rare glimpse into what makes for a good scene; passion. They weren't making it for the camera so much as though they had an itch to scratch and he benefited all the way. The oral, vaginal, and PTM sex was framed by some of the hottest playfulness I've seen all week. Keri wasn't as sexually gifted but she had that look I wanted to know better and the contrast between the gals was very provoking for my libido. In all, this was easily the best scene of the movie, even though I liked some of the others too.

Scene Two: Holly, a blonde with pretty eyes and a nice ass, wore a fetish outfit to coax both John and Michael in the next scene. I thought she had a great body and I was hopeful that her skill levels with sex were nearly as good as Sativa's from the last scene in order to make the show increasingly better. While she was gifted with a great body, her skills need a bit of work and taking on this pair of studs might've been just what she needed so as to make future scenes better. On top of the usual oral and vaginal sex, she also did anal with ATM and a DP for fans of the more extreme sex practices that gonzo has been focusing on of late. Heck, she even rimmed the men a little bit as she got off to their mechanical screwing. While it wasn't a great scene, I'd watch it again (maybe a few times at best though). It ended with some swallowing for fans.

Scene Three: Nikki, one of the brunettes I'm starting to really like watching in action, was up next as she wore a fetish outfit for a scene with John. Fans of point of view sex will like the first couple of minutes but something happened and he lost control by popping off too quickly so they went to a more traditional viewpoint for round two. I'd have lost it too since she's so fine it hurt my pants and with an ass like hers, she'll be raking in the dough for years. In the second part of the scene, she rimmed him (a growing theme in gonzo these days), but her oral wasn't limited to just that. I liked everything about this scene as it reminded me of the Prince song Little Nikki ("I knew a girl named Nikki, I guess you could say she was a sex fiend…"), but she really didn't do anything particularly extreme here so aside from her beauty and sweet body, the scene was kind of generic.

Scene Four: Kat, an 18 year old gal with light hair (colored hair at that), and a very lean body, and Manuel were up next after she stated she wanted to be fucked in the ass during the tease footage. I can see why John passed up on this one; she wasn't exactly all that great to look at and while she may have a lot of potential, she sure didn't use much of it in this scene. I'll be the first to admit that I don't like gals with few curves and the way she basically just let him do all the work really detracted from the heat for me. Manuel was probably the best of the males here but even with a gal that swallows, he couldn't do that much. As a suck slut, she was fine but otherwise; give her more lessons before she rides again.

Scene Five: Jasmine, a curvy gal with a round rump and major DSLs (dick sucking lips), was last up in the show on a couch scene with John and then Michael joining them. There was a lot of oral sex with tease and some solid screwing in both of her holes. Her ability to take anal was never a question although she also just kind of took it without pumping back as many consumers (and myself) have come to enjoy. The gal was not without passion either but she used it sparingly and even as she rode him hard and wet; she always seemed to be holding back on some level or another. She did vaginal, anal, DP and taste testing but the entire scene came off as generic and mechanical far too often for me to want to revisit it again.

Summary: Sex Fiends would've been more appropriately labeled something like Gonzo Babes since the word "fiend" implies something a whole lot darker and more twisted than the gals here were able to show in the movie. That doesn't diminish the value of the action though if you enjoy the cast. I liked two of the scenes a lot and a third was worth watching more than once so I'm going to lowball this one a bit and give it a rating of Rent It unless you're a huge fan of the cast as a whole. The movie was nothing to be ashamed of; it just lacked some of the heat, chemistry, and passion that other Platinum X Pictures has had of late so check it out before buying. Nikki, Keri, and Sativa remain on my list of hotties worth paying attention to and if their recent scenes are anything at all like what they're like in real life; their boyfriends must be in Heaven every night.
