Extra's: The best extra was the inclusion of 19.5 minutes of Behind the Scenes footage that gave the cast (especially Mercedes) and crew some time to get acquainted with the audience. The goof ups were funny and I really liked watching it; making me miss it all the more in other releases by Mercenary Pictures that don't have one. There was also a set of trailers, a double sided DVD cover and a photogallery but the BTS was easily the best extra to speak of.

Audio/Video Quality: Super Whores 2 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by Lex and his crew. The chief issue here was the uneven lighting and perhaps a few of the camera angles that precluded the viewer from seeing all the sex as best it could be put on display. Let's face it; some of these gals were not all that cute and good lighting can compensate for that more than the average viewer seems to understand. Further, when the lighting was too low, grain started coming into the picture more than I cared to see. Otherwise, the colors were pretty decent most of the time and I saw no compression artifacts. The audio was presented in a stereo English that had minimal separation and limited dynamic range but I could hear most of the moans and groans as the gals got into the action so it was about average in that sense.

Body of Review: Now that the Dark Prince of Porn, Lexington Steele, is moving ahead with his movies at Mercenary Pictures, I'm seeing his talents as a director grow steadily. He has long had an eye for quality in terms of who he works with but he has needed a few lessons on lighting and other technical aspects of the process. As time marches on, he's definitely getting better and I noticed this on the latest release of his, Super Whores 2. Like Super Whores 1, the movie was a straight up gonzo with little in the way of a specific theme to tie the scenes together. I had read a review of the sequel, Superwhores 2 by Rob Randall last year and was intrigued enough at his findings to give it a look for myself. While I was happier with it than he was, I can see why he didn't like it all that much; primarily due to the generic nature of some scenes. Here's my take on the movie in a breakdown of the scenes by action, noting that the gals earned their names in relation to the title although only about half of them did anal:

Scene One: Sheridan, an admittedly whorish looking blonde, was up first as she roamed the house looking for dick. Her English accent, large, natural breasts and willing nature made her the perfect choice for a series with a title like this one. Claudio and Chris were the two guys this time and she teased them a bit before allowing them access to her body, which they didn't mind one bit. Claudio went first, but each got some oral from her before they took turns screwing her pussy and ass. There was a bit of fun factor here but otherwise it lacked chemistry and passion much of the time for me. While I know she's in the scene for the money, I'd still like to think she had more fun than was readily apparent watching this scene.

Scene Two: Sophie, one of the more attractive European gals I've watched in recent years, was sporting dark hair this time as she pranced about during the tease footage. Her black lingerie was very hot on her and I can see why so many fans would like a crack at her ass. The lucky guy this time was Mark, one of the more capable studs in the business, and he took charge of her after giving her some oral loving as well as receiving some of his own. They boned in a more sensual manner but make no mistake, these two are champions and I could've watched them go at it all day. Fans of gapes will appreciate the one she showed after he planted his penis deep inside her and the chemistry between them was unmistakable. Whew!

Scene Three: Elena, an attractive brunette, and Sindy, a cute blonde, were up next with a split screen effect allowing them to both tease the camera at once. I really liked the effect here and wish other companies were smart enough to use it. They were soon joined by Zenza without having the benefit of working one another over as I'd have liked them to do but it was still an okay scene. My biggest complaint here was that the camera angles were not optimal for the look of the gals and all too often some of the best action was not plainly visible. There was oral, straight and anal with taste testing but it seemed too mechanical much of the time, thankfully ending with a titty fuck that improved it just in time (although still a little too little, a little too late).

Scene Four: Desiree, a black gal wearing fetish clothing that consisted of a white bikini, chains and a collar (as well as a leash), grew restless as she waited for her partner to show up for his scene with her. She teased the camera as though it might speed up his arrival and thankfully, it appeared to work as Lex himself entered the picture. She seemed thrilled to work with the man and I could see why; he was ready to rip her in two and she was ready to drain his balls completely dry. The oral was tame (someone needs to give her lessons) but she appeared to give her all when the two screwed energetically. He was firmly in charge and the scene was pretty good, although not his best work last year.

Scene Five: Skyla, the most attractive gal in the movie on a freshness scale with light brown hair and green eyes that bewitched me as I watched her move about cautiously in her spider web body stocking and boots. She kept looking off camera as though she had never done porn before and her words claiming her age to be 19 seemed a fair representation of her actual age at the time it was shot. Frank and Zenza gave her their treatment to cure all ills and the weaker oral was overlooked by the DPP (double pussy penetration) they gave her. I prefer more sexual talented gals but with her fresh look, I know a lot of you will enjoy the scene just fine.

Scene Six: Mercedes, perhaps the roughest gal of the bunch in terms of raw sexuality and willingness to do anything at all to stand out from the crowd, began her scene wearing a black patent leather top and short shorts with a collar and boots to round it out. Her dirty talk was better than all the others combined and I have to admit her sweet ass looked good to me. This gal had been around the block, perhaps several hundred blocks, but she fit perfectly into the theme here and I'd like to see her really pushed to her limits. She's taken on Mandingo, the only guy larger than Lex, but that scene wasn't nearly her best work. She almost took him all the way inside her and the way she ground her hips into him while he was boning her was hot! In general, I think her potential wasn't yet met but it was a lot of fun to watch her try him out for size.

Summary: Super Whores 2 was not the best I've seen from Lex at Mercenary Pictures but it did have a few scenes well worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of the cast. I'm going to rate it as a Rent It because only two of the scenes were at all fun to watch more than once (with a third close to that distinction) yet I could see why a number of fans might enjoy this one more than I (or Rob) did. The cast had a good diversity and the scenes didn't all follow a set routine as more thematic movies seem to do these days. I like Lex and his body of work so I'm hoping his talents improve with each release but even if the technical aspects aren't always perfect, I know he's still giving a lot of fuck for the buck in his shows.
